What's the Plan

"What's the plan?" Tekara muttered to himself, now alone in the training room. "I'm alone now. It's just me against all of this, all my friends, all my enemies, all my family. I can't even see on top of that." He yelled and threw his lightsaber across the room. He took a deep breath, trying to gather his thoughts. "I should just kill Thrawn, everyone will die, but at least he can't terrorize the galaxy. The only problem is I want my family back, I need Sabine back. I'm not ready to die."

"I need a plan." He got up from the cold floor and started to pace. "Think Ezra, think." He gasped at his own word choice. "I don't have time for a revaluation, I need a revolution."

"There is no one to trust. No one to call.  I need help." He said, annoyed and picked up his lightsaber again. "Kanan?"

"About time you asked for some." Kanan answered, and Ezra could tell he was smiling, wherever he was.

"No it's about time you showed up." He sassed.

"Hey if you don't want any help." Ezra could tell he was fading away.

"No wait....yes I want help." He muttered, embarrassed. "Do you have any ideas?"

"Just turn Thrawn on himself."

"Stop being so cryptic."

"You know what I mean." Kanan answered and Ezra felt his presence vanish.

"I know what you meant. I just didn't want you to leave." He told the now empty room, but couldn't keep the despair out of his voice.

"Now I guess I just have to knock Thrawn unconscious, get him to a medic bay, find a droid willing to put a chip in his neck, do that, make him free all my friends, get off this planet and live happily ever after with Sabine." He planned. "It's going to be a piece of cake. That's for the fool proof plan, Kanan."

"All troops report to your assigned stations." A voice crackled over the comm system.

Suddenly all the troops sat up at once as if they were possessed. (technically they are)

And as if someone flipped a switch the base began a flurry of activity, with the stolen humanoids from various places began their service. Some went to training rooms, others to the mess hall and a few picked up mops to begin janitorial duty. Everyone seemed relatively happier than they were sitting down bored in the medic bay.

Ezra on the other hand, found all this commotion rather annoying as he began to fight his way though people in the semi-crowded halls. He was constantly trying not to run into people. Ezra felt the worse part of all of this was that they were apologizing for him running into him.

"Sorry Tekara." An older lady said after he ran smack dab into her chest.

"No I'm sorry, it's my fault I'm not used to all these people being around."

"No I'm sorry that you feel as if you have to apologize when it was clearly my fault."

"I give up." Ezra sighed and continued down the hall, trying to remember the way.

"This isn't right." He mumbled and continued to fight his way back to Thrawn's office. His moral code winning the say over power, for now.

After about twenty wrong turns, running into 18 nervous people and one angry Wookiee he finally reached Thrawn's office.

Opening the door, he put on a confident face and walked in.

"Why hello there, Tekara." Thrawn acknowledged his presence as he came in. "What do you need?"

"I would advise caution, sir. He's definitely not here on a diplomatic mission." Ezra heard Sebrin pipe up from her spot at a chair.

I can take them both. Might be a little messy though. He thought and continued to walk in.

"I would stop whatever you are about to do Tekara and think." Thrawn warned.

"I've had enough time to think." He hissed back.

"Before you do anything you'll regret I'll offer you a deal."

"I don't want any deal from you."

"Just hear me out."

"Fine."

"I'll let you take a ship, take Sabine, Chopper and Hera and you all can leave, but you are not allowed to warn the rebellion, not allowed to interfere with my plans at all and not allowed to leave the planet I choose you to live on." Thrawn offered, with a sly smile.

"No deal." Ezra thought and began to rethink his plan.

"You could have a family, start over." Thrawn continued to pester.

It's tempting. He started to think it over. He began to dig into Thrawn's mind a bit. He'll follow up his end of the deal if I follow up mine. I need Sabine for this choice, what would she do in this situation? Even if Sabine wasn't here Ezra knew for sure what she would do. She would fight to free all these people even if it will sacrifice her happy ending. Ezra came to a conclusion.

"No deal." He repeated and ignited his lightsaber.

"I tried. Sebrin if you will." Thrawn answered and Ezra heard Sebrin's plan running in her mind before she carried it out.

Whiz. A small dart shot from the chair. Ezra immediately put out a hand and grabbed it just before it hit his skin. "I can read thoughts remember." He threw the dart back at Thrawn, before anyone knew what was happening.

"Kriff." She cursed and loaded up another dart.

"Well played." Thrawn observed as the dart hit his neck. "Winning the battle doesn't mean you'll win the war." The chiss than fell unconscious in his chair.

"Are you going to shoot me or not?" Ezra asked Sebrin, who was just about to aim at him again as he went over and threw Thrawn over his shoulder. He's heavier than he looks.

Sebrin lowered the dart gun and the looked back and forth between Thrawn and Ezra. "I'll rather not die, do you mind pointing me to the hanger bay?"

"Take two rights, a left and it's the fifth door on your right." Ezra explained, trying to fathom his good fortune. "Before you go Sebrin. What game are you playing?"

"Mainly the one that keeps me out of a cell and breathing." She answered. He soon heard the door open and footsteps echo down the hallway.

"Time to find the medic bay again and kill anyone who tries to stop me." He talked out loud to himself and walked out of the now empty office, with a renewed hope for the future.
