The galaxy seemed to stop.

"Ezra, do you remember me?" Sabine asked him, voice filled with hope and desperation. She wanted to believe his words, wanted to believe he remembered her, but she had to hear it from Ezra in person, not over some PDA system. She didn't want to keep hoping for something that wasn't true.

Ezra was conflicted realizing he had a choice right now. I could say yes or play off that I don't remember her and that I was still T- He cut off his own train of thought.

"Yes." He whispered, slightly hoping she didn't hear it, but she could. Everything she hoped was this close to happening, she couldn't help, but smile at him.

He couldn't explain it even if he tried, but somehow he was able to see Sabine's gentle smile from the doorway, smiling at him.

Maybe the force wants to work in my favor for once.

He opened his month to speak, but stopped finding himself at a loss for words.

Sabine took his silence as permission to speak. "Ezra, I can't believe you're alive after all this time."

"I honestly can't either." He joked, trying to hide his feelings in humor, but Sabine could see though it.

Oh forcing course something is going to be wrong. She thought, feeling a bit stupid. Everything isn't just going to go back to the way it used to be, it never is, but a girl can't help to hope.

"Ezra, you ok?" She asked, walking towards the chair he was sitting at, taking cautious steps toward him.

"Yep I'm all fine." Ezra cringed, he didn't even believe himself.

Sabine didn't reply, but instead had dragged a chair next to his. "I don't believe you." She said and plopped down next to him.

"Sabine, I wouldn't do that if I were you." He told her, more worried about his own actions than hers.

"Why can't I sit beside you?"

"I don't trust myself not to hurt you." He said, fighting to say the words out loud, looking downwind fighting watering eyes.

"Ezra..."

"You don't trust me either."

Sabine waited a moment to speak, getting over the initial shock that he would ever worry about her feelings towards him. Worry that she didn't care about him anymore. "Well I trust you, Ezra. I always have, it's time for you to trust yourself." She said, but even she had her doubts about this whole situation, lurking in the back of her mind. "You know I still love you, right?" She asked him, trying to make an effort to look him in the eyes. I hope he still loves me. Ezra's mind couldn't help, but pick up her thought.

Yes, I still love you Sabine. He thought, but his voice couldn't turn it into words.

"I just don't know what to do." He decided on saying instead. "I don't know what to say."

"Then don't say anything." Sabine said and leaned her head on his shoulder, Ezra recoiled at the human contact that he hadn't had in so long. Accept for your fists punching guts. A part of his mind whispered.

"Ezra, just let me in." Sabine muttered and got herself re-situated on his shoulder.

"Sabine, we don't have time. We have people to get back to their homes." He regretting saying the words as sound as they came out. Why am I looking for an excuse to get her away from me? He asked himself, but he already knew the answer.

"They can wait. I'm sure our friends can handle it for a little while. Take a break." She whispered, Ezra felt her growing tired and he couldn't help, but feel tired as well. It's been a long day, just a few minutes of sleep won't kill you.

"But I can't." He whispered, after a moment, but Sabine was already asleep on his shoulder.

But you need a break. Her mind whispered in her dreamless sleep.

He felt as if he should be afraid of sleeping, nightmares always seemed to torment him the moment he ever shut his eyes. Sabine will protect me. He allowed his eye lids to droop and his breathing to slow with the aspect of sleep.

Darkness feel over once more to the young man.

Oh force I hope you liked this chapter. It was a little harder to write since I wanted to get it perfect. Sabezra will never die!!!!!
