I couldn't fall asleep when I got home. Tossing a turning was all I did. The following morning we headed straight to the hospital. I waited in the waiting room while my dad got us coffee from the cafe downstairs. He came back with some black coffee and sat down next to me.

"Has the doctor come yet?" I shook my head head no and took a sip of my coffee. The doctor came in and took us to a room to talk. He motioned his hand for us to sit. "How is she?"

"She is holding up for now. We did a couple tests on her and on a couple it made it worse. Then others helped the virus stop spreading in other parts of her body. If they were to spread lets say in her legs she wouldn't be able to walk because she is not reacting well with this. Her body is trying to fight. We are going to try and give her treatments. The ones she reacted positively to, and see what that does. This does mean she will need to stay a little longer here. You can see her if she is awake." We followed him down a series of hallways until we reached her room. She was hooked up to multiple machines. Her eyes were barely open. She is pale and looked like she lost weight since we dropped her off. I went to the side of her bed and held her hand. She slowly smiled at me. Her grip on my hand loosened and her eyes close the machine next to her showing her heart beat started to get slower.

"Kenzie?... Kenzie!!" I started to shake her and nothing. "DOCTOR!!!!!!!" The doctor came rushing in. He pushed me aside, and following was two nurses. "Whats wrong with her??"

"Ma'am I need you to leave." The nurse started pushing me out when my dad came in the room. My dad trying to push through the nurse to get to Kenzie. Yelling her name as if she could hear him. And in that moment it was too late. She was gone. The virus got to her heart. She is gone.
