Complications//A Reidiss Fanfiction

Chapter Three: Suspicions and Excuses.

Spencer And Emily both woke up to the sound of Emily's phone alarm going off. She groaned and rolled onto her left side to turn it off.
"Baby we gotta get up" Emily gently rolled back on to her other side so she was facing Spencer, she gently rubbed his cheek with her thumb and he smile in response.
"What time is it?"
"It's 6:00, we need to start getting ready to meet the team."
"Emily, can we just have five more minutes?"
She let out a slight chuckle and pulled him up.
"No pretty boy, we gotta go get ready."
She kissed him gently, and rose from the bed and went to get dressed. Spencer snuck up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist.
"I love you Emily"
She smiled and put her hands over his.
"I love you too Spence."
He kissed the top of her head and went to the bathroom to go shower.
When she heard the shower running she couldn't help but think how perfect her life was going, she had her dream man, she lived with him in her apartment, now their apartment, and life just felt amazing.
She went into the bathroom while he was showering to brush her teeth and do her hair, while she was brushing her hair, Spencer turned off the shower, came out, and rapped a towel around his waist. Emily smiled as she traced over his body through the mirror. Spencer saw her smile and walked up behind her, and put his hands on her shoulders and softly kissed the back of her neck.
She closed her eyes and smiled
sweetly into the embrace.
"You know, I can't wait until this case is over, so we can spend some quality time together." Spencer started rubbing her shoulders, he knew she was stressed out over this case, as well as worried about their relationship. She moaned softly in response to him
"Spence the more you keep doing this, the more suspicious the team will get. I thought you said you weren't ready to tell the team it?"
At this point his arms were wrapped around her, his head was on her shoulder and her head was leaning against his. He sighed sadly as he remembered the team didn't know about the fact that two of their best friends were seeing each other. He wanted them to know but not yet, he wanted to scream at the top of his lungs how much he loved Emily Prentiss, but he wasn't quite ready to face the consequences yet.
"You're right, I want them to know, but I'm not ready to tell them yet. But I can't wait until after this case, so we can continue what we started."
He winked at her as he left the bathroom to get dressed. 10 minutes later she came out of the bathroom, fully dressed and ready to leave.
Spencer was combing his hair when she walked up behind him, she grabbed his shoulder to turn him around, and put her left arm around his neck, her other hand on his shoulder.
He wrapped his arms around her and they made out like teenagers for a while.
--15 minutes later--
"Where are they?" Morgan was having suspicions about Reid and Prentiss, they were arriving at work together more often, and when they didn't arrive together, they were only a few minutes apart. Prentiss was getting a lot closer to Reid, and was sitting with him more often. He seemed a lot more comfortable around her than he used too.
"I'm not sure. Maybe we should go check on them." JJ also had her suspicions but shook the thoughts away, she knew that if Emily was in a relationship she would have told her.
"Okay I'll go see what's holding them up."
Morgan walked away from the rest of the team, and walked up to Reid and Prentiss' room. He listened quietly and heard nothing.
"Reid? Prentiss? You guys okay in there?"
Reid and Emily were sitting on the bed, still making out, the were both busy in their own little words to realise that Morgan was outside their door.
They were both startled when the heard loud knocking on the door.
"Reid! Prentiss! Are you two in there?"
Emily and Spencer both looked at each other and scrambled off the bed to answer the door. Emily straightened her shirt and Reid re-did his tie.
"Ummm, yeah we both in here!"
Emily replied but she knew that they had caused a problem.
Morgan then opened the hotel room door and found Emily brushing her hair, well actually re-brushing be he didn't know that.
Reid was quickly collecting the case files from the desk and putting them in his bag.
"We have been waiting for you for 20 minutes, what's taking you two so long?"
"We overslept, out alarm didn't go off until about 30 minutes ago."
Morgan couldn't help but notice how guilty Reid and Prentiss looked.

"Were really sorry, lets go."
With that Prentiss rushed out the door to avoid further questioning.
Reid and Morgan followed after her.
Prentiss approached the team, a sigh of relief came over Hotch, he wanted to catch the guy who was killing these couples and Reid and Prentiss being late were not helping.
"Why are you late? We have been waiting for-" he looked down at his watch. "Now 25 minutes."
"We're sorry sir, my alarm didn't go off and we practically only just got up. We're sorry." She felt bad for lying to her best friends like that, she wanted to tell them that they got up at the right time but were distracted by each other, but she knew she couldn't say anything.

Prentiss was putting her earrings in as Reid and Morgan appeared. They all got into their SUV's and continued with the case.
