Chapter 6

The week went by quickly. I soon got used to my new school routine. I haven't gotten used to the Crunchies pestering me. Some of them mocked me for my "edginess" and others were insanely persistent in becoming friends with me for some reason and others were just not interested in me at all. I only bothered remembering the ones who pestered me the most or interested me.

Skye Sung was the most annoying out of them all. She somehow found my Twitter handle and would continuously picking on me for being an "edgelord". I finally blocked her, if only I could do it in real life. Ray "Radom" Dominicus hadn't stop bothering me about becoming his friend sending me gifts and DMing me on Twitter. I only said yes to make him stop which somehow worked. I'm not sure what to think of him but he is certainly persistent. Angela "Fwddy" Felean is another one of the Crunchies, I only have theater with her but we've talked during lunch. She's adorable and has a very likable personality but there have been rumors that she is darker than she appears.

It's already Saturday, I planned to spend the weekend playing Overwatch but Marcus was insisting I hang out with him. Something about me needing to "get of the house more" and "being social is healthy" or some nonsense. So I'm being dragged outside to hang out with Marcus' little squad.

"Come on Darcus you were invited so it would be nice to show up. This is something we do weekly so I always look forward to it. Movie Night is always fun, you'll like it." Marcus kept trying to convince me to change my attitude about going when I didn't even want to go in the first place. He drove us to Ray's house, who hosts Movie Night every Saturday night. I heard it started out as a joke and excuse to force everyone to watch that terrible movie, The Bee Movie, but turned into a weekly event.

We pulled up to Ray's house and got out of the car. Well, it was more like mansion than a house. I didn't know Ray was rich although I should have figured it out through his expensive taste in clothes and willingness to buy gifts for everyone all the time, though the rich are rarely that generous.

As we entered the mansion I saw Alexa, Skye, Marine, and Ray in the living room all getting ready for the movie. There was plenty of snacks on the table and many blankets and pillows on the spacious couch. Ray's eyes lit up as he saw Marcus and I enter.

"Yay! You guys made it! I was worried One of you wouldn't show up. You two will love this week's movies. We're watching Captain America and Thor! Please sit down wherever. We have plenty of snacks to share." Ray motioned us towards the couch as we sat down. Well at least the movie choices aren't bad. I wouldn't be bored for 4 hours at least.

It was midnight by the time the movies ended. Everyone was having a post-movie discussion as I busied myself with my phone.

"Sorry Ray, it's already late and I don't want to get sleep drunk since I'm the one driving." Marcus signaled to me that it was time to leave as I got up to follow.

"Oh ok, hey Darcus thanks for coming to over for movie night it's always more fun when we have lots of people over. I heard you play Overwatch you should add me I'll DM you my user later." Ray waved us goodbye as we left.

I hate to admit it but it's more fun to watch movies with others.
