I've noticed during lunch that all the Crunchies would hang out with each other except for one person. I originally assumed they had a different lunch but since all the Crunchies had theater together, they all have the same lunch.

"How come Ray is never here for Lunch?" I asked Marcus as he was flirting with his girlfriend, Sam.

"What? Oh, Ray hangs out in the library. Something about "starving is cheaper" and "I could just eat at home". He could still hang out in the cafeteria with us though. We've offered to share food with him before but he always refuses. I don't really get it, he has the money to spend on food." Marcus then returned his attention to Sam.

"Excuse me." I got up from my seat and tossed away whatever was left of my food and headed out to the library. I found Ray working at one of the computers and sat down next to him. He didn't seem to acknowledge my presence so I cough to get his attention.

"Oh Darcus, you have work to do too? Or what?" I looked at his screen and noticed he was working on a story rather than schoolwork.

"How come you don't hang out with your friends during lunch?" I asked.

"Aww Darcus are you worried about me? And you said you didn't care about me. I just have work to get done. I never get anything done at home since I get easily distracted so I just work at school instead." He then returned to his work.

"I don't give a shit about your wellbeing, I just found it odd that you're the only one never at lunch. I'm leaving." As I was about to get up Ray stopped me.

"Darcus,I'm sure you understand this but sometimes socializing is exhausting. Tell the others I just like being alone sometimes. That's why you really came here right? The others are curious."

I nodded to him as the bell rang. We both got ready to head to class. I learned that Ray is a terrible liar.
