Sigrid begged us to tell her the story on the carriage ride home, I remember promising Sigrid that Tauriel would, in fact, tell her. Maven suggested that we let her rest.
"She's had a long day." Were his exact words. I wanted to follow his instructions word for word, right no he knew what was best for Sigrid. Tauriel helped me carry her to the settee where we laid her, along with a few chips of ice to calm her high fever.
"How do you feel?" I ask, laying a hand on her long orange-blonde hair as she
"Alright enough." She whispers her eyes falling half-closed.
"I'll be back with Bain and Tilda, Tauriel you may go ahead and start," I add as I push through an oak door that had a slash of burned wood through it "I'll be right back." Tauriel nods and begins to tell the tragic tale of Elros and how he came to be in the sky.
"Ada!" Tilda yells, running from her room "Is Sigrid alright!?" I smile, Tilda cares for everyone.
"She's in good health, but very tired so be gentle and quiet when you go in." I smile "Oh, and Tauriel is telling your story!" She giggles and wriggles out of my arms before running down the stairs.
"Bain?" I call, stepping into his cave of a room "Bain?"
"Ada?" he steps out from behind a stack of clothes "How is Sigrid?" I reply the same way I did to Tilda and he walks down to join her. That's when it hits me, Tauriel has never experienced a love broken heart and the moral of the Elros story is that all who are wounded in love will never heal.
This, of course is not true but Tauriel does not know that. I rush down the stairs to see that Tauriel has gone.
"Why did she go?" I ask Tilda looks guilty.
"Ada... she was talking about how Kili was gone forever... and I told her."
