Chapter 26 - No Excuses

IU's POV

Ah it's such a wonderful day! Can this day get any better? I'm so, so excited preparing for the surprise. I had a little talk to their manager a while ago. They're actually here now in Korea. That's why I am rushing things. Their manager told me that they'll be staying to a hotel near Incheon for now since they're really exhausted. Another hour of driving on the road will be the cause of their bad health.

I'm actually a little grateful for that. That means I still have time to prepare, and when the party starts they won't be exhausted from jet lag right? That's right I'm so witty.

"Sunbaenim, where do I put this?"

I turn over to look at Yugyeom who is struggling carrying the couch. Where is Jackson by the way? We need more man power that's why we called Jackson. We rearranged their furnitures temporarily so that the living room will be spacious enough for us. There are only seventeen people who'll attend the small gathering. Three girls and fourteen boys to be exact. But that's still not the final list, there's still a few pending people who will come.

"Oh that must be hard. Just put it uhm... There!" I pointed Jungkook's room. His room is too spacious for him since he's the only one sleeping there, so I think it's okay to put the couch there for now.

Yugyeom nods his head while carrying or should I say dragging the large couch. I turn to the kitchen and saw Ha-Na unnie cooking together with In-Na unnie.

"Oooh that looks delicious." I said while sniffing the pan. In-Na unnie pinch my nose.

"Yah, stop slacking off!" she said and slap me on my butt. I glared at her but she just laugh at me. I scoff and left the kitchen.

We're almost done, just a little finishing to the other side and it's perfect! I climb to the chair to place the party lights. 

"Careful sunbae." Jackson said, I smiled at him and continued doing my business. 

"I'M BACCCKK!!!!!" 

I heard a loud bang from the door and it startled me, making me jump from where I was standing losing my balance and prayed that it won't hurt that much if I fall. 

"Shit" I heard someone muttered behind me. To my pleasure, I opened my eyes and saw the face of Mark.

"Are you okay sunbaenim?" didn't I tell you how handsome he is? Wait, what did I just say? Oh gosh. 

"A-ah, I'm fine." I said while trying to get up. 

"Sunbaeeeee! What happened huh?" as soon as I heard his voice I knew it was him, Bambam.

"Ah why did you have to yell like that?!" he just smiled at me and welcomed me with his tight hug.  I can't breathe! 

"Yah Bambam! Sunbae looks pale!" Jackson said that made Bambam to pull away. Thank God. 

"Sorry noona, I just missed you." I roll my eyes to him and starts continuing the decoration. I heard them talking to each other.

"Noona? When did you call our sunbae like that?"

"The first time we've met." 

"Why did you call her like that?"

"Yah you have no respect!" 

"Oh c'mon you two are  just jealous! Bleh!" 

"No we're not."

"We're just asking because that's too informal" 

"Well, okay I'll tell you. She doesn't want me to call her sunbae since we're friends now. In fact she doesn't let her friends call her sunbae because if they do, she thinks that they don't want to be friends with her."
