Chapter 29 - We're okay

Jungkook's POV

It's been days since we last met. I miss her already... 

I didn't want things to be complicated for us, but I don't think this is the right time for us. Dating rumors about me have been spreading all over the nation. I didn't want her to misunderstood that I'm cheating. I've been reckless, I know. But that girl is a sly! 

I've been reaching out Ji-eun noona but she doesn't answer all my phone calls. I tried to visit her, but her manager told me she's filming. 

I wasn't cheating, really. That night, when she caught me talking over the phone I admit I lied. I know she knew it. But I just couldn't tell her that time what's going on. I don't want her to worry about our relationship, but I think it worsen everything. 

I thought it's going to be okay, but that was just what I thought. 

It was Yeri, she called me that night. I didn't even know where she got my number, the only girl who knows my number was IU noona and my relatives. I was told to say these things, 

'Yeri-ah, fighting! Oppa is rooting for you! ' 

I told her those things without thinking, a careless act of me. Then she suddenly replied that she misses me, I was taken aback at what she just said. She said she was filming that time, so I thought it was some mission that why I replied to what she's trying to say. 

I didn't know IU noona was standing behind me, did she heard everything? Jimin hyung told me to explain everything now. Of course the hyungs knew what is happening to me. Where is she when I needed her the most? 

"Aren't you eating? Come on, let's go somewhere to eat. It's Jin hyung's treat." 

I look at Taehyung and smile sadly, I don't know why I'm being transparent lately. I wasn't like this before, but if my relationship with IU noona is in line, I couldn't handle it the way I used to. I couldn't just stand and do nothing like what I did last time. I won't let my manager settle this things on his own. I'm also involved here, I need to barge in. 

"Come on! We've got news for you." he pulled my arms and pat me on my back. I nod and follow him.

"Alright, let's drink our problems away!" Namjoon hyung yelled as he place his drink on the center, asking for cheers. 

"Just for tonight!" Jin hyung added 

"Let's live freely!" they look at me, I sigh and get my drink as well, they all smiled at me

"Cheers!" 

Yeah, tonight I want to forgot everything. Just, for tonight. At least. 

"Waaa Jungkook is a man now! Here, drink more!" I nod as they all seems excited for me to drink. Yoongi hyung, who was pouring the soju smiled at me. 

"It's alright Jungkook-ah. Everything will be alright tonight." I just nod at him, I didn't even understand what he's trying to say but I hope so.

I had too much drink for tonight but then, I'm still sober. I plump my glass on the table, and gasp. Why couldn't I forget everything?! 

"Jeon Jungkook." 

A soft voice captured my senses. I look over my shoulder, my eyes widened when I saw the girl I've been longing the most. Tears started to form in my eyes, how I want to touch her, squeeze her, kiss her all day. I wanted to hear things that would make me happy. I wanted her to tell me that 'It's okay, everything's going to be fine. I'm here.'
