2014-
"Karlie I love you with all my heart, will you marry me?" Taylor says as she kneels down onto one knee.
Karlie peeps out a small yes and engulfs her fiancé into a big hug.
"I will remember this moment forever; I will never leave you."
2019-
"I do." Karlie says.
"I know pronounce you wife and wife. You may now kiss the bride." The pastor announces.
Karlie takes her wife's cheeks in her hands and gives her a passionate kiss. "I love you and will never leave you." She whispers before kissing Taylor again.
2024-
"What do you mean 'she has stage 2 breast cancer!?" Taylor yells at the doctor.
"Well there's a tumour in her bre-"
"Yes I know what I means." She spits.
"Taylor babe it's okay, we will get through this together." Her wife comforts her.
"How long does she have?"
"Well considering that it's only stage two, if we start chemotherapy she could live a full life."
"When can I start therapy?" Karlie asks, suddenly nervous.
"As soon as tomorrow."
"Don't worry babe, I will never leave you."
-2025-
"It's okay babe, this is the last time remember? You can do it. I love you." Taylor says while kissing her wife's hand. It's the last day of Karlie's chemotherapy.
Karlie takes a deep breath as the last dose of medication goes through her body and leans over and throws up all the contents in her stomach.
After 45 minutes her and Taylor are walking into the doctors office to make sure all is good and the cancer is gone.
"Congrats Karlie! You're all clear."
"Yay babe! You're cancer free." Taylor says with a smile.
"Yes I am," Karlie says. She pulls her wife into a warm hug and whispers,
"I will never leave you."
2030-
After five years of being cancer free, Karlie and Taylor have welcomed their first baby into the family.
A little girl born on June 21,2030 named Amelia Grace Swift - Kloss. Blonde hair and beautiful green eyes. A spitting image of Karlie.
"Hey baby. I'm your mama and this is you mommy." Karlie gushes at the little baby in her arms. "I will always protect you; I will never leave you."
2031-
"I'm sorry Karlie but your cancer has returned in your liver. It's stage 3 and is most likely not cure able." The doctor says.
"Wh-what?" Karlie mumbles.
"The cancer that was previously in your breast has now returned and is stronger and in your liver. We can start radiation therapy but I'm not sure how long that will go on for."
"How long does she have?"
"I'd say maybe 2-6 years. I'm very sorry guys." He says as he leaves.
Taylor breakdown crying while holding Karlie tight.
"It's okay baby, I will never leave you."
2040-
"Mama? Mommy? Can we go get ice cream?" 9 year old Amelia asks her moms.
"Sorry kiddo but we've got to take mama to get her needles remember?"
"Oh ya right!"
"Well there you go miss Karlie, it seems everything is going pretty well." The doctor says.
---
Taylor wakes up in the middle of the night and feels a cold spot next to her. She quietly gets out of bed to see Karlie in the bathroom throwing up, something she hasn't done in almost 3 years.
"Babe! Are you okay? Let's get you to the hospital. I'll call my mom to come watch Amelia." Karlie nods and slowly stands up and walks to the car.
"So Karlie it looks like the cancer had spread again, although this time to your lungs. I hate to say it but I'm gonna have to get you to stay here now. I'm going to give you about 3 weeks. I'm very sorry."
Taylor stands in the doorway stunned. She was getting tea when she returned to hear the last part of what the doctor said.
She runs to Karlie and lays with her, no words are exchanged until Karlie says,
"I will never leave you."
"Today we honour the amazing Karlie Swift-Kloss. She was a wife, mother and overall an incredible woman. She will be remembered forever. Taylor would like to say a few words."
"My wife Karlie was an inspiration to not only us, but the world. We faced many things together and even when it got hard, she never lost hope.
In the last few months of her cancer treatment, I saw a different Karlie. One that I've never seen before. She wasn't as determined to fight, she spaced her self out of me and her daughter. This just shows that cancer is a life changer. She has battled cancer twice before it returned to her lungs. My wife is and was a fighter, even from day one.
After every struggle we went through, she would always say one thing to me, 'I will never leave you' and that just goes to show that All Promises End In Lies.
I love you Karlie and so does everyone here. Rest in Peace my sunshine."
