"Why didn't I ask for directions?"
Grace's POV:
Why had I said that out loud? Geez, being in someone else's body sure is messing with my head, and that's a complete understatement.
I looked around. Both my--Luke's-- dad and Agatha's heads were lowered, being submissive to Luke's mom. The room was completely quiet besides mom's heavy breathing.
Mom's eyes were filled with anger and hatred. She stood up tall in her heels, still not being able to tower over me-- well, Luke.
"Well? Are you not going to apologize?" She screamed.
"I-I'm sorry," I stuttered. These sorts of confrontations had never happened to me. I was always the kid who never spoke to avoid hurting someone's feelings.
"It's I am sorry," she corrected me. She grabbed my arm harshly and lead me to the door.
"I-I am sorry," I said, trying to get out of her grip. This was the first time I had gotten in trouble in years, and I felt like crying. How could Luke deal with her?
"You're going to be." With that statement, she left me outside of the hotel room. Hearing the click of the door locking, I sighed. This is why I stayed quiet.
I walked around, trying to find an elevator. Once I had found one, I pressed the button to go to the lobby. I had nowhere to go.
I got to the lobby and headed towards the door. I needed to get my body back. I couldn't deal with mom any longer.
I walked out and groaned. I had no idea where I was nor in what city I was in. I didn't recognize it at all.
Why didn't I ask for directions?
