Chapter 13 - Beach day (part 1)

"Hey!I just checked,it's almost Yata's birthday!"Tatara exclaimed,he hadn't been filming since Anna broke it on accident once when the rest of us were out fishing,I tilted my head.

"When is your birthday anyways Misaki?"I asked.

"July 20th!"He replied,that made me flinch as I looked at him wide eyed,The seemed really confused by my sudden reaction,but Mikoto,who was drinking water on the counter after just waking up,started speaking.

"She thought you were younger than her"He explained,I frowned,the youngest one there is still Eric-chan but....still!

"When is your birthday anyways Kumi-chan?"Izumo asked,as he was shining a wine glass,I wiped my head to the side.

"Not telling"I said,though Mikoto spoke for me.

"July 23rd,3 days after Yata"He said,I frowned and glared at him as Yata bursted into laughter.

"Haha!So you are younger than me"He said,I nodded and sighed.

"Only by three days!!!!"I exclaimed as he ruffled my hair.

"It's still three days little sister!"He joked,I elbowed him in the stomach "Ow!"

"Shut up you baka!"

"Both of you,stop."Izumo said,I puffed out my cheek and glared at Yata.

"Anyways,this is Kumi's first birthday with us,should we go somewhere to celebrate!"tatara suggested.

"How about...The beach!!!"I said,jumping up from my chair"Please!I haven't gone to a beach for sooo long!!!"

"Sure,what do you say Mikoto?"Izumo asked,I looked over at Mikoto as he gave a little nod.

"YES!!!"I exclaimed "HERE WE COME BEACH!!!!"

~TIME SKIP July 25th~

"It's days like these where it'd be good if you had a camera"Izumo commented as we setted up a barbeque by the beach,Anna had built a little mountain with sand in her small red and cute swimming suit.

"It's fine!it's Fine!!!"Tatara said as he was "taking pictures"with his hands that's formed like a rectangle "the heart's camera will take perfect pictures!"

"It's the sea!!!"Yata and I yelled in unison as I ripped the open shirt I was wearing and threw it onto Mikoto,now I was wearing a white and red polka-dot two piece with a large white bow on the top part and small red bows along the side of my bottom pieces with my HOMRA insignia showing on my right arm,my chest still bandaged even will the swimming suit,my two front locks of hair still dangling while I tied the rest into a ponytail, and my front bang is clipped with hair clip to make sure they are out of the way.

"rather,For all of us to gather like this in public is kinda..."Tatara started as he sweatdropped.

"That's true...coming with such hooligans whom all have the same tattoo will make people wonder...."Izumo said as I hopped onto Yata's back.

"GO Go Go!!!"I cheered as we ran towards the sea,I hopped off by the sea where Bando was.

"Wow Bando-niisan!your mark is in such a weird place!"I commented,his was right about his belly button.

"It's fine"He replied "ever since I got the symbol from Mikoto-san I've never had a stomachache"

"That's so co-"My sentence was cut off by...fangirl squeals?

"Kama-sama is making yakisoba!!!!"One girl squealed as the other followed "So gorgeous!!!!"I facepalmed as Chitose and Bando glared at him.

"This year I won't lose to Kamamoto..."He said,I sighed and turned around to find Yata,but he wasn't there,I was about to call out his name until I heard some girls talking.

"hey!Isn't that guy kinda cool?"

"Agreed!Amazing!"I tilted my head and looked towards their direction where one of the girls was pointing,as I saw Yata on the surfboard,I grinned as I grabbed a surfboard too and join him,soon I heard some talking too.

"Hey look at that girl!"

"wow!She is really good at this!"

"She is so pretty too!Should we go talk to her after?"I snickered as I rode the wave towards Yata.

"Nice job Misaki!"I commented as I saw a wave coming" You really impressed some girls over there"I winked at him,as his face turned all red and lost his balance on the wave,i yelped and jumped off too after the wave had gone away.

"Are you alright?!I'm so sorry!!!"I said,but he just waved it off,I smiled and helped him up as both of us started surfing again.

"Ha- Surfing is quite addicting!"he commented,I nodded in agreement,I looked up and saw a large cove in front of us.

"wow!Amazing!it's like a secret base!"He said,I nodded and smiled.

"Let's go check it out!

The cold and hard ground made contact with my bare feet as we walked deep into the cave,in our sight was a bouquet of flowers,My head shot up as I sensed someone behind us,I turned around to see an old man.

"This place,you two must leave"he started as Yata screamed by the sudden noise,but the old man continued "It's best not to enter this place so lightly"

"Wa...?"

"A while ago,A child drowned here...The child's soul is still said to be floating around here"

"Th...That means..."Yata's eyes widened,but the man talked no more and walked out.

"You shouldn't come to play here...."Was the last words he said before leaving both of us in the cave.

"ha...hahaha"Yata laughed dryly as we backed out of the cave slowly and went back to the shore.

~Time skip~

I shoved a burger in my mouth as we gathered around and ate lunch,ever since we came back,Yata had been hiding behind the rocks,I looked over at him.

"You ok?"

"Ye-yeah..."

"Ah right,I heard this just a while ago"Rikio said,Yata had been telling him about the cave,I looked over and listened.

"Apparently they appeared around here"He said as Yata spat out the mouth full of water he had just drank.

"Th-They?!"

"Apparently a child drowned in one of the sea coves,That child went adventuring inside the cove with his friend...and then water slowly started to enter the cove...the friend suggested to go home but the child didn't listen and went deep inside by himself...."Rikio's expression darkened as he continued.

"However that child doesn't realize he has died and apparently still continues adventuring inside the cove.If you enter the cove,you apparently hear little footsteps and a child's voice ringing throughout the area"I tried to hold back a laughter as Anna set her hand on his shoulder,And Yata screamed on top of his lunges,I bursted into laughter and went to get something to drink.

By the time I came back,they have decided to go to the cove,for a courage test they say,I giggled and eyed Yata,who was sweating a lot beside me.

"Hey Misaki!"I said,leaning on him as I wrapped my arm around him.

"Don't let the ghosts get you~"
