I walk silently forward, towards the direction where—I'm guessing—the bullet came from. Minho was quiet beside me, his hand gripping my own tightly.
I knew he was nervous that I would get hurt, but we both knew I wasn't. It was a typical mate thing. As much as I didn't want Minho to come with me and get hurt, either, I knew that there was no way he would let me walk into...whatever this was, alone.
We kept walking, sniffing the air and listening, but there was no sign of any human, rogue, or hunter activity. I cursed in my head, knowing that somehow they got away.
After another fifteen minutes of searching with absolutely no leads or any evidence of an attack, we headed back to the car.
"This doesn't make sense. Someone had to shoot the dart at our car. If it was a human, or even a hunter or rogue, we would have smelt them...unless..." I trailed off, scrunching my brows together as I thought of something.
"Unless?"
"Unless they found a way to get rid of their scent, or at least mask it," I say, looking over at him as we approach the car.
Just as we reach it, the vehicle explodes, sending both of us flying back on the cement. Minho comes on top of my, lifting himself up on his elbows as he shields me from the blast and falling debris.
"What the hell," I growl, looking over Minho's shoulder to our car—well what was left of it, which wasn't much. "Are you okay?" I asked, looking back at Minho worriedly.
"Yeah, you?" he asks, brushing his fingers across my temple.
"I'm fine, thank you," I lean up and kiss him, before sliding out from under him.
He gets up and stands beside me, searching around us for any signs of our attackers. He wraps his arm around my waist and pulls my closer, placing his mouth by my ear.
"Let's get back to the back, before the next attack hits us," he murmurs, sending shivers down my body.
I knew now wasn't the time, but he was so hot when he was angry! I turned my face and kissed him on the lips shamelessly, before pulling back, making Minho groan in annoyance, and shifting into my red wolf. Minho shifted into his large panda making me internally chuckle.
It was so cute and cuddly, but it could definitely kill someone, easily. Minho's panda was just as vicious as any other bear.
We took off through the woods, knowing exactly where our pack territory was located. We ran as fast as we could—which was nearly the Flash's speed- so as not to lead them straight to our territory. Even if they had vehicles, they wouldn't be able to catch us.
As soon as we reached the pack house, we shifted, pulling on clothes from the basket outside of the house. I had on a large shirt that fell to mid-thigh, while Minho was only dressed in a pair of low-slung sweatpants, revealing his glorious eight pack. I stared for a while, until I noticed his smirk.
"Done checking me out yet?"
"Nope, give me a minute," I say seriously, holding up a finger. Exactly one minute later and lots of drooling over his obvious good looks, I speak. "Okay, now I'm good. let's go," I say, walking over to him and gripping his hand and tugging his chuckling form up the steps to the house.
"Where's Adam?" a panicked Minnie asks, coming rushing to greet us as soon as we walk in.
"He found his mate and is helping her gather her stuff,' I told her, making her perk up.
"Oh, my baby found his mate! Who is she? What pack is she from?"
I open my mouth to speak, but Minho wraps an arm around my waist, silently telling me not to say anything just yet.
"He'll tell you when he gets here," I smile at her.
"Yay! Jay! Our boy found his mate!' she screams, running around the house like a headless chicken.
I feel Minho chuckle form behind me as his buried his head into the crook of my neck. I lean back into him, wrapping my arms around his.
"When should we tell them about our car?" I ask, turning around to face him, still wrapped in his muscular arms.
"We should wait until Adam and his mate are here. We want everyone present for that," he says, pecking my forehead.
"Okay, let's go upstairs until they get here," I mumble into his chest, placing a kiss over his heart.
"Alright," he says sounding breathless.
I smile against his skin, before pulling away and walking up the steps, Minho trailing behind me. As soon as we reach his room, I walk over to a dresser drawer that had a pair of pajamas of mine tucked away and pulled on a pair of underwear and a pair of short shorts.
"Want to watch a movie? I don't think Adam and Celine will be here for a while," Mino smirks, coming up beside me with a smirk on his lips.
"Sure,' I smile at him, pecking his lips before walking over and dropping down onto his bed. "What movie?"
"Whatever you want," he says sitting next to me.
"You're going to regret that,' I say, with a smirk as I pop up and grab the remote to his T.V from his bed side table.
I scroll through the owned movies we have downloaded on the T.V before stopping over Saw 3, one of the goriest ones out of all 7.
"You Saw fanatic," Minho mumbled, burying his face in the pillows of his bed.
"Yeah, yeah, you love me anyway," I chuckle, pressing play.
"Yes I do," he says, wrapping an arm around my waist and tugging me down on the bed next to him.
We stare into each other's eyes with big goofy smiles on our faces.
"Have I ever told you that I love you?" I ask out of the blue.
"Yes, multiple times, but I can definitely tell by the way you verbally abuse me," he chuckles, pulling me impossibly closer.
"Oh, yeah. Well I love you, my little cuddly panda bear," I say, kissing his shoulder as somebody screams in the movie.
They were probably getting ripped apart by metal chains. Yeah, it was Troy's death. I may or may not have watched every Saw, multiple times. Oh well.
"And I love you, my crazy fiery red puppy," he smiles and brings my face closer to his.
Needless to stay, neither of us were paying any attention to the multiple people dying on the screen, we were too caught up in each other to even care.
