I danced with Minho for what seemed like hours, before we made our way over to the bar and took a seat. I leaned my head against his shoulder as the bartender handed me my beer. It took a lot of alcohol for werewolves to get drunk, so there really was no need to worry about one of us getting drunk because it was nearly impossible.
"Having fun?" Minho asks, rubbing my back, creating goosebumps on my skin.
"Yeah. You?"
"Of course, I'm with you," he smirks, kissing my temple.
"That was cheesy," I laughed, but leaned into him.
"I know," he responds, before getting up from his seat.
I look up at him questioningly.
"I'll be right, back. I have to go to the bathroom," he explains, then walks off into the crowd.
Well, I wasn't getting him back any time soon with the amount of people in the crowd he'll never make it back. I sigh and take a sip of my beer.
Out of the corner of my eye, I see a pretty African American girl, around my age, taking a seat beside me. Her hair was long and insanely curly and fell to her waist. Her eyes were the prettiest green I had ever seen. I don't know why, but she just piqued my interest. Had I met her before?
I sniffed the air and smelt a strange scent. She didn't smell like a werewolf, bear shifter, or just a plain human. What was she? I turned my attention to her and was about to start up a conversation when she spoke.
"Is there a reason why you are staring at me?" she asks, not looking over at me.
"Sorry, it's just...you look familiar?" I tried, though it wasn't really the strange feeling I was getting from her.
She turned in her stool to look over at me, her green eyes flashing with curiosity.
"I don't think we have, or I would have remembered someone with such bright natural hair. I'm Celine,' she says, sticking out her hand.
I placed my hand in hers with a small smile.
"Ava, so what brings you here? Got a hot date anywhere?" I ask with a smirk.
"Nah, I'm just passing through. I travel a lot, and these nightclubs are the only familiar scenery in every place I visit," she says, taking a sip from her glass.
"Ah, I see. That's pretty cool. I really do need to travel more," I chuckle, looking over the girl in her tight fitting black dress.
'So what brings you here? got a hot date?" she asks, raising an eyebrow with a smirk on her lips.
"Yes, actually, my ma—boyfriend is around here...somewhere," I say, scanning the crowd.
"You almost said mate," Celine smiles from across me, making me snap my head back to look at her.
"Nope, I think you're going crazy. Maybe you've had a few too many drinks," I say, taking a sip from my own bottle.
"Oh I see how you want to play it. Anyways, I find werewolves pretty fucking amazing. I hate seeing how everyone wants to kill them, they haven't done anything wrong," Celine shrugs, taking another sip.
'Thank you, see I knew some humans liked us," I exclaim. "Oh damn it, I really need to learn to keep my mouth shut," I mutter, making Celine laugh at me.
"Hey it's all good, I did kind of trick you," she admits, making me smile at her.
"So you hiding any special supernatural abilities?" I ask jokingly.
