"No! No! No! Don't leave me Ava! I love you. Please...come back," I sob, cradling Ava's limp, lifeless body in my arms.

She's gone. She's dead. That bitch killed her! I lost my mate, my only love. I hadn't even marked her yet! It felt like my entire heart had been ripped out of my chest, and crushed to nothing.

The sound of Adam's groan came from behind me, but I ignored him, as I stared down at Ava's pale face. The blackness had receded back to her chest and she was now just pale. I brushed blood soaked hair from her face as my vision blurred with tears.

"No..." Adam breathe from beside me. "She's not dead... she can't be," Adam whispers.

"She's gone. Thanks to your fucking mate," I roar, gently placing Ava on the ground before launching myself at Adam, slamming my fist into his face until I hear it crunch. "She's dead. My mate is gone because of that evil bitch! Why did you bring her here?" I scream, before hands grip my upper arms and pull me off him.

I fight against them with all of my might, but as soon as my eyes land on Ava's motionless body, I sag against the arms, crying all over again. they drop me and I rush over to Ava, not willing to leave her.

"Who did this?" I hear Bo's shaky, but angry voice ask from behind me.

"His mate, Celine," I growl, not looking up from Ava's body as I held her against my chest.

The next thing I hear is the crack of someone's nose and the sound of a body hitting the ground. I look up to see Bo standing over Adam with a tear stained face. Tommy rushes into the room, and takes in the scene. He moves over to Bo and pulls her into his chest, his eyes filling up with tears as he takes in Ava's pale, motionless body.

"She's gone," I whisper brokenly.

More people come in and out of the room, but I don't process anything. Nothing matters but Ava, and she's gone. There is no reason for me to live. I want to kill myself. I don't want too—no—I can't live without my other half.

But then I remember her last words. I will avenge her death, then join her. I'm not going to wait and live a long life, while she is waiting for me...wherever she went. I will see her again, and soon.

I stand up, carrying Ava's weightless form with me. I bring her out of the pack house, and out towards our cemetery. I ignore everyone that follows me, or cries, or asks questions. I block out everything, only focusing on getting her to the cemetery and into the family crypt. I lay her down on the stone platform in the center of the room.

I won't have her buried yet, because we are going to be buried together. I won't be apart from her, even in death, but right now I have to leave her to avenge her.

I place a lingering kiss on her forehead, closing my eyes and remembering all of the good times we had.

"I love you Ava, my mate. I will avenge you, then I will join you." I whisper against her skin, before pulling away.

I stare down at her, more tears slipping from my eyes. I wipe them away with a sniffle before forcing myself to turn around and walk out of the crypt, even though every cell in my body is screaming at me to go back to her.

I take in the crowd gathered around outside the crypt as I close the door behind me.

"We are going to avenge Ava and all of the other's we lost. Gather any weapon we have, every warrior be ready to fight, we are going hunting!" I yell at the crowd.

The answer with a responding war cry before moving out to get ready for this battle.

We are going to find them, and kill every last one of them.

Then I will join Ava.
