AT THE EDGE
It was really beautiful morning. The sun was shining, Terrible Terrors were singing and the sky was without any clouds. For a certain girl viking it was a perfect time to have a morning training.
When Astrid woke up she knew that it will be a special day. She didn't know why. She just had a feeling. After braiding her hair and dressing up she started to look for her axe. Surprisingly it wasn't in her hut. A blonde girl furrowed her eyebrows and went outside in search for her lost weapon.
She checked the dock, the stables and even Snotlouts hut but her missing item wasn't anywhere. Just when she was about to visit Hiccup in his hut she got stopped by some really irritating twins.
"Hello my dear friend" Tuffnut started.
"What do you want Tuff?" Astrid asked.
"Well.... you do know that me and my sister are the best pranksters in a whole Archipelago yes?" he answered. Astrid rolled her eyes and started to walk away when Ruff catched her wrist.
"Wait, wait... we have a deal for you." she said with a sweet voice. A blond viking stopped intrigued with her friends voice.
"And what should it be?" she asked.
"Ummm... you see.... we are afraid that our pranks aren't funny anymore. I mean, they obviously are still hilarious but we want to do something more BA BOOM. You know what I mean?" Ruff asked earning a surprised look from Astrid.
"We thought that we can make the prank that will be remembered in history. The children will learn about it, there will be books about it, there will be...."
"And what I have to do with it?" Astrid interrupted.
"Your job my lovely partner is to help our plan by covering us while we are preparing " Tuff answered.
"You know what, do it yourself I have to find my...."
"Axe?" Astrid turned around surprised only to see a devilish grim on twins faces.
"How do you..."
"Let's just say that we knew what you will say" Ruff started.
"So... we stole your axe, which we want to use as trade" Tuff continued. Astrid clenched her fists but the boy twin didn't stop.
"Your help for your axe. Deal?" he asked but just when he said that he got pinned to the floor by a furious valkyrie.
"GIVE ME MY AXE BACK YOU...."
"Ruff, take the axe" screamed Tuffnut causing his sister to run away with Astrid's axe. And then the game started. Astrid was running from twin to twin but they were playing with her. It lasted for half an hour when the blonde viking gave up and agreed to the twins plan.
LATER THAT DAY
The twins were collecting some stuff from the stables when the last person they wanted to see appeared. Hiccup. He was leading straight to the place they were and they didn't have nowhere to go. They immediately called Astrid and showed her their leader.
"Astrid. You have to keep Hiccup away from this place."
"Forget about it."
"But pleasee.... Astrid he will kill us."
"What a tragic lost would it be."
"Pleaaaaseeee......"
"I said NO"
"Your axe is waiting....."
"Ughhh... I hate you two"
"Love you too" they said and pushed Astrid outside which caused her to collide with her crush himself.
"H...Hiccup, hhey, what are you doing here?" she asked rubbing her shoulder.
"Well, good afternoon to you M'lady too. I was going to check on our gates in stables. I think they need some renovation. Would you like to come with me?" he asked.
"NO" she screamed causing Hiccup to step away. "I mean... I would like to do it but the thing is... you can't go there." she added. To her luck the Night Fury rider back was facing the stable's door so he couldn't see what the twins were doing.
"Oh, I see... but why can't I go inside?" he asked.
"Well you see....there..." she started but then she saw Ruff showing her on her hand that they needed on more minute.
"Hello... Earth to Astrid." Hiccup waved his hand in front if her. "You look tired. Go get some sleep. I will check the stables and visit you after..." and then the unexpected happened.
Astrid grabbed Hiccup by his shirt's collar and smashed her lips into his. It didn't take him long to kiss back. His hand found a way to Astrid's waist and hers embraced his neck. They were both in Valhalla. For them the time stopped. Both of them felt that warm feeling inside of them causing them to forget about whole world.
Hiccup turned his head and put Astrid closer to him to make their kiss even more passionate. She didn't object. The blonde girl started to play with his hair while the riders hand started to stroke her back.
After one minute they pulled apart looking at each other eyes. In that time twins escaped from stables and took their whole luggage away. Right now they were looking at their friends who were staring at each other.
Then Tuff fake coughed to get Hiccups and Astrid attention. When they turned around they immediately jumped from one another.
"Umm... I'm gonna check the stables now..."Hiccup said and run away trying to hide his blush.
When he disappeared twins started to laugh causing Astrid to blush even more. "Well, well, well... by distraction we meant something different, but... everyone does what they like. I'm I wrong Astrid?" Ruff asked.
"Ugh...Whatever" Astrid answered and went to her hut didn't seeing twins high-five.
LATER THAT EVENING
The blonde valkyrie was reading a book of dragons when she heard a knock on the door. She was a little bit surprised but Astrid got up and opened her door revealing someone she didn't want to see. Hiccup Haddock himself. After two minutes of awkward silence he asked:
"Umm...c...can I....can I come in?"
Astrid blinked in shock but let Hiccup into her house. He sat on the edge of her bed followed by the blonde girl who sat next to him.
"What do you want?" she asked.
"Oh...oh... I'm sorry. I came here to give you your axe back" he said and gave Astrid her lost weapon.
"Thanks..." she answered. "Well.... about today...."
"The twins told me everything" Hiccup interrupted her.
"Oh...So you know?"
"Yeah, kinda....Can I ask you something" Hiccup looked at her.
"Yes, of course."
"Do you like me?" at that question Astrid blushed causing Hiccup to smile at her but he still wanted an answer.
"Well...I mean... You are my best friend. You are also very good leader and...."
"But I mean do you like me like me?" he asked. Astrid didn't answered. She was afraid of telling him what she truly felt. The Nadder rider didn't expect what happened next.
"Because I do" Hiccup said.
"Really?" she asked.
"Really."
"Well. I like you too" Astrid said.
"Soo.... are we a thing now?" Hiccup asked blushing.
"I guess so" she smiled and felt Hiccups hand at her waist.
"That means as you boyfriend I'm allowed to do this" he whispered to her ear and pulled her close into kiss fulled with love.
