Chapter 2 - Missing You

"I'm sorry." Taehyung apologizes again. Hoseok comforts him. "It's okay. You are not the only one who misses him. Just forget about him for a few days and, try to avoid him, okay?" Hoseok says. Taehyung nods feeling a bit better.

It's dismissal time. Jungkook was walking by the paved sidewalks alone since Mingyu dumped him with his new friend named Jeon Wonwoo. He enters his house which was empty since his parents were on a business trip. He enters his room and the first thing he did was throw his bag on the bed and after, he sat down. He looked around his room since he was bored then something caught his eye. A speck of light was reflecting of it which was above the high shelf. He stood up and he tiptoed just to grab it. Once he did get it, he examined it closely.

It was a necklace of some kind. Behind it were the words 'Best Friends' and on the front was the letter 'N'. He wondered what it was. He was trying to remember where he got it from until he remembered something, a flashback.

"Look over here!" A familiar voice called out. They all headed towards the voice. "How about this?" They ask. "It's nice!" Another voice said.

"Hey Kookie, here is yours." Someone hands over the necklace to Jungkook.

"Who were they?" Jungkook asks himself getting back into reality. He still couldn't figure out where that memory came from. He decides to keep the necklace safe somewhere until he remembers who those people were.

It was another day of school. Today, Jungkook was wearing the necklace. As he was walking to his locker, he noticed Mingyu leaning on it with his arms crossed, blocking the locker door. "Hello Jungkook!" He greets. "Move aside Mingyu." He says pushing him away from his locker. Mingyu was about to say something until he noticed the necklace. "Where did you get that necklace from?" He asks still eyeing on Jungkook's possession. He hid his necklace under his shirt and he opens his locker in front of the face of Mingyu. "None of your business."

"Hey Taehyung! Did you do your homework?" Hoseok asked and Taehyung nods in reply. They were walking to their classroom. "Hyung, did you know that-" Hoseok covered Taehyung's mouth and brought him behind the lockers. He removes his hands from Taehyung's mouth. "What was that for?" He asked, confused of his hyung's action. Hoseok looked at him and did the shh sign. He then turns back to the direction he was looking at. Taehyung wondered what it was so he decided to take a look too for himself.

As he faced the direction of Hoseok, he finally understands why. "Oh. I see why." Taehyung whispers to Hoseok. The two of them were just watching Mingyu and Jungkook talking to each other from behind the lockers. "I wonder what they're talking about." He whispers again to him. "Don't go near them okay?" Hoseok whispers back but as he turns around to look at Taehyung, no one was there, he has disappeared. "Taehyung?" He starts getting worried even if he shouldn't. He looks back at the direction he was facing before and saw Taehyung walking up to Jungkook and Mingyu. "My god TaeTae."

"Hello!" Taehyung walks up to the two and they look at him weirdly. He was just smiling innocently at them, hands behind him. "What are you doing here?" Mingyu asks going in front of Jungkook. "I just wanted to chat or say hi." Jungkook closed his locker. He looked at Taehyung about to say something opening his mouth but then he closed it back again noticing something that he was wearing. It was hidden but he could tell it's a chain. It looked very familiar.

Hoseok then came along. "I'm sorry about Taehyung. We won't mind your business anymore." He fakes a grin before grabbing the arm of the younger one. "Yes please bring him away. He is very annoying. Useless piece of crap." He mumbled in the end for them not to hear but ended up getting heard by Hoseok who was about to shout at him but was stopped by Taehyung. "It's no use hyung." He said, knowing what he'll do. Jungkook was just watching what was happening, being all quiet and out of the situation for the first time, then he saw the same kind of chain that Hoseok was wearing. He suddenly remembered something. Probably, a memory?

"There you go Kookie!" A familiar voice said as he puts the necklace on for Jungkook. He smiles then he looks at the pendant. It had the letter 'N' on it. "So this will symbolize our friendship. ''B..A..N..G..T..A..N..' We are BANGTAN. We are bulletproof!"

'Bangtan? Was I with those jerks?' He thought. He couldn't seem to remember who his past friends were but one thing that he could think of so that he could find them is the necklace. But the possibility of it being them disturbs him.

"Let's go Taehyung before class starts." Hoseok and Taehyung then left. Jungkook quickly inserted a piece of paper in Taehyung's bag pocket but he didn't notice. "I hope that he reads it." He mumbles.

"Reads what?" Mingyu asked who was eyeing Jungkook very closely. "Why did you seem so quiet and what was in the paper?" He asked a few more questions with arms crossed. Jungkook shook his head. He needs to think of something in order for him not to answer or to make Mingyu leave. An idea shot his mind.

"Mingyu, go to your class. Also, go with Wonwoo if you want." Mingyu was shot in surprise. "Really?" He asks in disbelief. Jungkook nods in reply. He smiled happily. "Yes! Well, see you then." Mingyu then ran off with his bag hanging from his shoulder. Jungkook just smirked at him running. The bell then rang. "Oh crap!" He ran to his class before being late.

"Taehyung, I thought that we should ignore him. I thought we were supposed to avoid him." Hoseok said making him remember what they were supposed to do. Taehyung twirled his pen with his fingers giving a short pause and time to think about what to answer to his hyung. "I know. It's just that,

I miss him."
