Chapter 19 - End Year

Things happened for the past few days. Jungkook told the others about the necklace and they said that they would get a new one. The exams were very close but since it was a weekend, they went to the house of Namjoon since he has something to show them.

They were gathered at the living room waiting for Namjoon since he was getting something so they just talked about stuff.

"I'm glad your black eye is gone now." Taehyung said to Jungkook wrapping an arm around the shoulder of the younger one. His black eye has disappeared and he was happy. "Yeah. I'm glad too." Jungkook replied back looking at Taehyung who was grinning at him.

Things were turning out well. Jungkook's dad became more accepting to him and Jimin and his dad became closer. But then Mingyu has not talked to Jungkook for a while and this made Jungkook wonder why Mingyu isn't bullying him. Did something happen? But then, why does he care anymore. It took him long enough for him to let their friendship go; he thought. He has better and more trustworthy friends anyway.

Namjoon then came down the stairs to the living room carrying a box. The others wondered what was in it. He places the box on the center of the table then he takes a quick breathe. "What's this?" Jimin asked. "Open it." Namjoon replied pointing his hand at the box. They opened it and what revealed were necklaces. Each of it had their names and had letters. Behind it was their stage names if they ever had one. All of them got theirs and looked at it in amazement. They've never seen anything like it before. "Where did you get this?" Seokjin asks. "I bought it online. It was extremely expensive but I had to buy it." They all looked at Namjoon in shock. "Why was it so expensive?" Yoongi asks, looking back at the pendant of the necklace and staring at it with amazement. "Those are bulletproof necklaces." Their eyes widened in amazement. "I customized it for you guys and there is no need to pay me." All of them were smiling happily then they stood up and hugged Namjoon. "Thank you!" They were very grateful. Namjoon smiled and hugged them back.

By the remaining time, they studied for their upcoming exams. They've been studying really hard and it is also their second to the last year in high school. Namjoon was their teacher because, he's the smartest in the group. "So do you all get it?" He asks. Taehyung raises his hand. "Uh, can you please repeat it?" He asks, having a blank expression. "This has been already the 10th time and you're still not listening!" He raged. The others then laughed but Taehyung remains having a blank expression.

It was the first day of exams. It was still early in the morning and they've been studying really hard for the exam. Jungkook's table was near the door and he hated it. He was rereading the whole reviewer again until someone pulled him out. Jungkook nearly stumbled out but he was able to balance himself. It was Mingyu who pulled him out. 'What does he want now?' He asked himself. He was about to speak until Mingyu gave him something. It was, the necklace. Jungkook was surprised that Mingyu has it. Didn't he throw it away? "How did you get this?" Jungkook slowly asked, looking at Mingyu. He seemed a bit, different; acting different. "I, looked for it." He said, he seemed pretty unsure with his words. Jungkook was confused. Why would he look for it if he hates him. If they aren't friends anymore. "W-why?" He asked. "I'm sorry for hurting you. I, was just, confused. I know that you still hate me and it is hard to forgive me." He then scratched the back of his head then he saw the new necklace that Jungkook has now. "And, it seems that, you've gotten a new one." He faked an awkward laugh. Jungkook glanced at the necklace which seemed scratched then he looked back at Mingyu. "I'm sorry okay!" His eyes became watery. "You don't deserve a friend like me. They're better." Jungkook was speechless and, Mingyu could tell. "Mingyu.." Jungkook approached Mingyu then he hugged him. Because of Jungkook's warm comfort, Mingyu cried. He then hugged Jungkook back.

"Ah, I forgot to return Jungkook's pen." Seokjin said. He stood from his seat then he ran to Jungkook's room. He ran then when he was nearly at Jungkook's room, he stopped. He then hid behind a wall so that he couldn't be seen. Jungkook was hugging Mingyu. He guessed that they've made up.

"I'm sorry." Mingyu repeatedly apologized. Jungkook continuously patted the back of Mingyu. "It's okay. It's okay." Jungkook then pulled away and looked at Mingyu. "What you've done was almost unforgivable." He said. Mingyu nods sadly. "But I would forgive you since you are my friend." Mingyu was shocked to hear this from him. It was like that it was Jungkook's first time to call him his friend. "You know that it is impossible to let go of someone who is really close to you right?" Mingyu nods in reply. "You may not be my best friend but, you are my close friend." Mingyu was now smiling happily; so was Jungkook. "Just being your friend is enough for me." Mingyu uttered which made Jungkook's smile became wider then he held the shoulder of Mingyu. "You should get back to class. It's exams and you need to review." Jungkook said and Mingyu nods. "Bye Jungkook." He said then he leaves Jungkook, heading back to his classroom. "Bye Mingyu." Jungkook replied even though Mingyu was already distant from him. Before he headed back, someone tapped his shoulder from behind. He faced that person and the first thing he saw was, his pen. "Sorry, I forgot to return it." It was Seokjin. He got the pen from the hand of Seokjin and thanked him. "Looks like you and Mingyu are friends again." Seokjin smirked. Jungkook nods. Seokjin then held the arm of Jungkook. "Good luck on the exam." He said. "Good luck to you too hyung." Jungkook replied. Seokjin then walked back to his classroom, so did Jungkook. He hopes that he did the right thing about Mingyu. What can you say? It is easy to say but hard to do.

The second day of exams were over so they decided to study for the final day of exams at a field. It was near their houses and there were hardly any people there. The grass was soft and the air was clean. The view of the clear blue sky was perfect.

"I wonder why people hardly go here." Seokjin wondered, placing his stuff down then he sits. "I guess it is because people are always busy so they don't get to go here." Namjoon replied. They all settled their stuff down and they started studying. "How was the exams?" Jungkook asked. "It was just like yesterday." Yoongi replied. "Didn't you say that you almost slept through the whole exam?" Hoseok asked. "Yeah that's what I meant." He replied, flipping to the next page of his notebook. "Oh my god Yoongi." Namjoon said, writing a note on his notebook. "What, I still got lots of sweg." He said then Jimin pushed him on his shoulder. "Shut up." He said. "Come on, what was the line of Namjoon to Jimin again?" Yoongi smirked and Namjoon replies immediately addressing it to Jimin. "Jimin, you got no jams." They laugh then Jimin stood up and almost choked Namjoon but was stopped by Seokjin. "Yeah stop Jimin." He said. Jimin then gets back to his place. "Okay mom." He replied. "Stop calling me mom!" Seokjin exclaimed and they continue to laugh. "I've missed these times when we hangout." Hoseok said. Jungkook and the others smile. "I wonder, what if we become an idol group." Hoseok randomly thought. "That will never happen." Yoongi replied to him. "But just imagine an alternate universe where we are famous K-Pop idols." He said, looking up at the sky. "That's a nice idea but the sad fact is that will never happen." Namjoon replied. "Would we use our original stage names?" Taehyung asks. Hoseok nods in reply. "Just imagine, Rap Monster our leader, Jin our visual, Suga our composer, J-hope, which is me, our hope, Jimin our mochi, V our mood maker, and Jungkook our golden maknae." All of them liked the idea. "Wait hold on, Yoongi our composer?" Jimin repeated but this time, using Suga's real name. "I want to compose songs, what's wrong with it?" Yoongi asks. Jimin smiles and he shakes his head. "I've never seen you compose before." Jimin replied. "Come on let's continue studying." Seokjin said. "Hmm, what would our group name be?" Taehyung asked. They thought for a moment until Namjoon had an idea. "I know! We will be the Bulletproof Boy Scouts, Bangtan Boys, Bangtan; we will be BTS." He said and everybody liked the idea. "How about our fandom name?" Jungkook questioned. Namjoon already had a name in mind so he was able to answer the question immediately. "Adorable Representative M.C for Youth a.k.a.
