Keith searched through his boxes once more to make sure he had everything before he left his mothers residence. Today was the day he was moving out into a wonderful, beautiful home pretty far away.
"Mom! I'm ready to leave! Did you call dad?!" Keith called, loading the last of his boxes into his own, small vehicle.
"Yes sweetie! Please be safe out there! You know how I am when you are out there on your own! You're still my baby b-" Keith cut off his mother by holding up his hand while smiling.
"I'm an adult now mom, out of college and everything. My life is set." Keith said. He took a deep breath and gripped the glass, tear drop shaped charm around his neck, "I love you mom." Were his last words before loading himself into the car, preparing to leave and introduce himself into a life full of independence, and thrill.
