"i'm stuck living a daydream, an escape from reality. my love for you was pure and true but sadly it was the only thing i ever knew"

antidote, part one;

"ladies, gentlemen," kingsley cut in, his blue robes swishing behind him as he walked in. "i apologise for the wait. there was something i needed to clear up with an acquaintance." he looked pointedly at miles, who sighed deeply.

"we're not acquaintances," another voice cut in cooly. hermione wasn't sure if she recognised that voice. however, soon enough, the owner of said voice walked into the room, the lights reflecting off his bright blonde hair. "and we made it with a minute to spare, minister."

"draco?" harry gasped, knocking his knees on the underside of the table with how quick he sat up straight. "draco malfoy?"

draco malfoy rolled his eyes. "no, it's bond. james bond."

hermione assessed draco. it's been years since she last saw him—six, to be exact—and he's changed. he's taller, broader but (by the looks of it) still as sarcastic as ever.

minister shacklebolt cleared his throat. "please do take a seat, draco."

draco pulled his bottom lip between his teeth then brushed past harry and hermione, taking a seat next to her. hermione wanted to face him and talk but she knew that she couldn't and not just because of the meeting either—because he may hate her. a lot.

she felt his long legs brush past hers as he stretched them out, ignoring miles' intense gaze. minister shacklebolt nodded. "so, we all know why we are here—no, this is not a good time for your sarcasm draco—and i have come to a conclusion i hope you'll all agree on."

jacob nodded. "let's hear it."

kingsley sighed before turning to hermione, harry and draco. "i want you three to be in charge of the case."
