as they settled at the slytherin table, hermione couldn't help but notice the way harry and little ginny looked at each other. it was rather cute—even then they're meant to be together.

"i'm ginny!" the little redhead exclaimed, holding her hand out. "theo and daphne are looking after me!"

harry smiled and shook her hand. "i'm harry potter! hermione and draco are looking after me."

hermione hid her smile behind her hand. they were so cute! hermione noticed that pansy was watching them too and leaned over to the dark haired girl. "aren't they just adorable?" she whispered.

pansy nodded slowly, adverting her eyes away from the two kids. "yeah. some true love bs, you know?"

hermione chuckled at that and nodded. "i guess you could say that."

luna was there and hermione realised she hadn't talked to the blonde girl in a while, so they struck up a conversation. pansy even joined in every now-and-then, but the dark haired girl spent most of her time eating silently or talking to theo. from the corner of her eye, hermione could see draco and daphne whispering about something but she didn't ask.

"do you have any plans for after hogwarts, hermione?" luna asked in her dreamy voice.

hermione shrugged. "i'm still working on that. it's either the auror department or a bookshop."

pansy huffed. "bookshop. only you, granger. i, personally, want to become a fashion designer. i think i'd be good at it."

theo nodded. "you would, pansy."

pansy rolled her eyes. "thank you for the input i already knew, theo," she joked smugly, smirking at theo. he rolled his eyes.

hermione chuckled and turned her attention to harry and ginny. they were too busy being adorable to notice anyone else around them. love always finds a way, apparently.

"it's pretty gross, isn't it?" draco whispered next to her ear, making her jump. "i think i might just throw up."

hermione rolled her eyes. "only you would find it gross, draco. it's cute."

he scoffed. "okay, sure, if you say so."

hermione huffed. "just let them be, scar."

draco frowned. "what the fuck is a scar? my face is pretty flawless if you ask me."

hermione gasped at him. how does he not understand the scar reference—oh, wait, pureblood. of course he wouldn't have heard of the lion king. it gave hermione an idea, one that she's not sure will completely work, but she'll ask mcgonagall later.

"don't worry about it," she said, turning her attention back to the adorable six-year olds. harry continuously blushed while little ginny pretty much smirked.

"no, you're thinking about something," draco pressed, leaning closer. "and i figure it has something to do with me."

hermione scoffed. "the world doesn't revolve around you, draco malfoy."

with a simple spell, draco had space whirling around his head. a smirk later he was saying, "of course it does! i mean, look, there's earth. there's the sun. the other planets and the supposed-to-be planet—"

"okay, okay," hermione chuckled, rolling her eyes. "i get it. and no, i won't be telling you."

draco ended the spell just before pansy huffed. "i hate kids," she muttered, eyeing the little dean as he scarfed down his food. "i was never like this."

"well, we all weren't raised like the ever-so gracious pansy parkinson," daphne teased, smiling openly—which was rare on its own.

hermione chuckled but from the corner of her eye she could see draco spacing out. what was he thinking about again?
