Zoe managed to drag herself to P.E (surprisingly) and ran into the changing rooms. To her relief, it was practically empty. She quickly got changed then walked out to the Gym.
She sat down on one of the benches and looked around. The only people changed were boys, all of whom she recognized. Apart from one.
One boy was just like her, sat on the bench awkwardly. Parallel to her was the boy, shortish, brown hair, swept across his forehead, and bright blue eyes. She studied him for a while, but eventually their gazes met. Zoe blushed and looked away.
"Alright guys! Today we are going to be doing badminton, so this side of the gym, go get the equipment." The gym teacher gestured to the first half of the gym. Zoe sighed with disgust and muttered under her breath "Can I go home now?" then stood. She noticed the boy walking as well, and before she knew it he was right next to her.
"Uh, hi. D-do you know where we are meant to be going?" The boy asked sweetly, looking at Zoe. She looked over and nodded. "Through these double doors and to the left is the storage cupboard." She smiled. "Are you new here?" Zoe asked. "Yea! My name is Jason. I just moved here with my friend." Jason chuckled.
Before Zoe knew it, the two hours had passed, completely painlessly and very fun. Jason was a total laugh, and just as dumb and clumsy as she was. The pair had spent most of their time laughing and getting told off by the gym teacher. The bell rung, indicating it was time for next lesson. "Boy! Time sure does fly when you're having fun, huh?" Jason smiled. "No kidding! What do you have now?" Zoe asked. Jason thought for a second, then answered. "I think I have... History?" Zoe nodded. "Well, I have English, wanna meet at lunch or something?" She smiled and giggled a bit. "Sure! Just meet me in the lunch hall." "Will do! See ya later!" Zoe smiled and waved goodbye to the boy. Her cheeks were bright red and she was all flustered. What was going on?
Zoe got changed and walked to English, meeting Savannah along the way. "OMG Zoe I sat next to THE MOST GORGEOUS BOY EVER in Maths! Mr. McCann is a total babe for sitting him next to me!" Savannah smiled. "I JUST ENJOYED GYM." Zoe said, almost emotionlessly. Savannah's smile was wiped off of her face. "What. What? WHAT?!" Zoe nodded, a massive smile on her face. "I know! There's this new boy named Jason and he's so funny! I really like him. You are meeting him this lunch!" Zoe insisted. "Of course! Anyway I have to go to History, talk later!" Savannah smiled and waved as she walked away.
