Okay, so I know I said I would be doing theme 2, but then I started thinking about possibilities for theme one because it wasn't coming out too well. So, I was in science class, and we make this notebook full of like paper we cut out for notes and such and I was having fun with the scissors, pretending to cut people's shirts and hair like anybody would *cough* and I was like.

So I made my entry for theme 1 a gijinka scissors
It didn't take as long as my art of this quality normally takes in the fact that it only took three hours tops? There were a lot of difficulties though. The color, for example. It looks kinda purple, right? That's because originally the color scheme was grey and purple, but I thought blue would fit better. Oh! And there were supposed to be buttons on her, like for her pants and the cloak, but I forgot them and didn't want to mess up my lineart.
A lot of things factored into the overall design, like the fact that her legs were scissors so she would have trouble walking in long pants, so they're hiked up to her waist, and I think that I imagined her as very self-conscious towards her body so she wears a cloak to cover up her back end because the shorts don't exactly do that very well for her.
Her hair is two buns with like bangs that come down the side of her face and then they sorta cut off like a v-cut to symbolise scissors once more, and if she were facing you you would see that her neck tie also alludes to scissors.
I didn't draw eyes because, once more, she would be self-conscious of her body, and I think that she would look down a lot, casting a shadow on her face and hiding her eyes, but if I did draw them, they would have been very 'sharp' ;D I'm hilarious
Okay, dirty joke, but she would have been a lesbian and 'scissoring' all night ;D kms
Anyways, I drew this 1> sketch 2> scanned into computer 3> traced digitally 4> printed onto thick water color paper 5> colored 6> printed [again] over top of colors so that the Lineart was visible

I did have some pictures of it before I reprinted but I deleted them // sorry
It actually probably was very safe for the paper to do scissors, I mean, what if it got 'cut' in the process? ;D
Anyways, sorry this is literally one day before your contest ends. I hope I don't get downgraded or anything.
