[RANT]The Difference Between 'Fag' and 'Gay'

I really need to get this out there, so I'm not going to give much of an introduction.

As you all should know, I am a boy. I prefer masculine pronouns, like he and him. 'Unfortunately' I was born, and, guess what? I like boys! Wowie-kazowie, what a shocker! Seriously, though, I'm gay, and if you tell me that there's something wrong with that, well, fuck you.

I don't care about my romantic references. I think that there is nothing wrong with it, because there isn't, but in today's society, there's a few certain religious people that like to run around condemning my kind. You know something? I just thought about this as I was typing, but they used to burn us gays. Like, they would crucify us. Let me just say something really quick; what if you were straight and everybody else was gay, and they tried to burn you for it? There's literally no difference, just gender.

"God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve"

1) You just have an old book to prove that, show me the bodies. It's not like, after 2000-something years they'd have decayed next to completely.

2) Sure, he made Adam and Eve, theoretically, but it's not like we're going to throw all the other races into hell, right?

Now that that's out of the way, let me get on to the point.

In my opinion, there is a fine-lined difference between 'fag' and 'gay'. Let's be honest. Have you ever heard a gay person say "Oh yeah, just call me faggot" and seriously mean it? I mean, I've called myself a fajot and a faucet before, but I don't think I'd ever give in to being called fag, because it's outright offensive. People who aren't gay get offended when they're called faggot or fag, and so do I, as a gay person. If you know I'm gay, just say it, okay? If your religion is holding you back, just know that we know you're supposed to be kind to everyone, so maybe be kind to us, too? I don't look down on any people who are in religions, I look down on religions.

One final thing. Being homoromantic and being homosexual are different things. You could be panromantic and heterosexual. Personally, I'm queer, and just queer. I don't care what gender you are, as long as I think I can handle it I'll be in a relationship with you, but I commonly say that I'm gay because it's easier, and because if I had to pick somebody to have a relationship with based solely on gender, I would pick the male.

Maybe my next rant will be about understanding transgenders, like me :p wanna hear an even more powerful rant?

So, I don't think I really ranted at length, but I still ranted. Please, if you call a gay person a fag or faggot, just straight up say gay unless they say otherwise. I only let my close friends call me any offensive names, and I'm sure that that applies for all people.

Please live your life with consideration for other people, just as they try to do for you. Well, most of them anyways.
