[Tom's Pov.]

It was nice of (Y/N) to help Edd with the headache he had from the fall. The next morning, I was sitting in my room with my guitar. I was just strumming the strings that ran along it when (Y/N) opened my bedroom door and poked her head inside. I smiled and said,"Hey, (Y/N). What's up?"

"Hey, Tom. Edd said you were good with a guitar and suggested you teach me how to play," she replied, opening the door wider and stepping in.

I smiled a little and replied with,"Hm, okay. It can't be that hard. You're a pretty smart girl, so it'll be okay."

She smiled back. I sat her down on my bed and positioned the guitar in my arms. "What hand do you use?" I asked. I didn't expect a hesitation to tell me, but she did. It was highly questionable.

"What? Did I say something wrong?"

"No, no, it's just, I use both," she said to me. "I'm ambidextrous."

"Then, it doesn't matter, huh... Here," I replied. I positioned the guitar in her arms as she would hold it if she was right-handed. She held it awkwardly, but I smiled. It was a little big for her, but it was the only one I had.

[Edd's Pov.]

In about an hour, I heard (Y/N) trumming the strings of Tom's guitar and turned them into a song. I recognized the song to be Lost Boy and smiled. She was a really fast learner: like a sponge to knowledge. I rolled to my side and listened to (Y/N)'s fingers graze the strings, making music.

I got up and walked to Tom's room, ignoring the five layers of bandages (Y/N) put on my head and the pain throbbing through my brain. I opened the door and poking my head inside,"Hey, you two. Having fun?"

"Sure am! It's not that hard to play instruments. When I was little, my fifth grade class learned to play the recorder, but all I could remember from that was kids blasting each other's ears off with copies of the Kazoo Kid..." she shuddered and me and Tom laughed. "Very tragic," replied Tom. (Y/N) chuckled and began strumming again, but a different song that I recognized to be Are You Satisfied?

She hummed to it while playing and Tom couldn't help but watch with a smile across his face. She began to sing along with it,"High achiever. Don't you see? Baby, nothing comes for free. They said I'm a control freak, driven by greed to suceed. No body can stop me, 'cause it's my problem if I wanna pack up and run away. It's my business if I feel the need to smoke and drink and sway. It's my problem, it's my problem if I feel the need to hide. And it's my problem if I have no friends and feel I want to die."

She stopped there and turned to see Tom's face bright red.

[Tom's Pov.]

Thoughts were racing through my head...

She's so cute...

Such a great singer...

I need to hear her again...

She's amazing...

I shook my head and the heat in my face faded. I rubbed the back of my neck and looked away,"Well, I think that's it. There's a good intrument shop in town, so maybe you can get a guitar there."

(Y/N) smiled at me and said,"Sure. I'll go there this weekend. I'm really busy with week with work."

Edd gave me a sideways smile and I had the sense that he told (Y/N) to come to me to learn on purpose. I smiled back and (Y/N) pat me on the head before leaving my room. We said our goodbyes and she left to her house.
