Dear Diary,
I have to say, this has got to be one of my more interesting yet strange days. Um so the Ravenclaw vs. Gryffindor quidditch game was today, so Solest played against James. The game ended with Gryffindor winning only because James caught the snitch. It was a very close game. But that's not all. After the game all the players got down on the field to shake hands when Professor Fairway got on a broom to make an announcement. Center field, mid air. "As you may know, I graduated from Hogwarts last year. I'm not far off from all of you seventh years," she began. I knew what was going to happen. Her plan was in motion so mine had to be as well. I looked down at the field where Solest was staring straight up at me. I motioned for her to come and she nodded. She mounted her broom and flew up to the Gryffindor stands. Solest hopped off and stood next to me with her broom by her side. We watched Professor Fairway as she continued to talk. "I just wanted to congratulate Gryffindor for their fantastic win. Good work team! Now I would like to most importantly like to congratulate the Gryffindor quidditch team captain, James Potter. Come up here James." Oh no. I took Solest's broom out of grip and mounted it. I've had quite a bit of practice with a broom because my dad was on the Slytherin quidditch team. I flew up to where Professor Fairway was and faced away from the crowd. James flew back down to the field. "What are you doing with James?" I asked sternly. "What I came here to do darling," she replied "Marry James." "Stay away from him," I told her "He's not available." "I think he is Gemma dear. He's not your boyfriend is he." She was right. James wasn't my boyfriend. Sometime while I was lost in my thoughts, Kendra pushed me off my broom and I held on to it with my right hand. Kendra pulled out her wand and smiled. "Bye bye Gemmy," she said and zapped my hand. As I was falling, I looked at my hands. They were cut and blood spilled from my fingers. I felt very drowsy but I didn't land on the field. I was still flying but I could feel someone's hand on my back. I'm not sure if it was actually him but before I went unconscious, I saw James's face. When I woke up, I was in the hospital wing. Madam Pomfrey, my mum, my dad, James, Wyatt, Solest, Summer, And Edward were there. I didn't see Scorpius but a moment later he rushed in and stood by Edward and Summer. "Alright children, she's awake now. You must leave for class now," Madam Pomfrey said as she shooed James, Wyatt, and Solest out. Edward kissed Solest on the cheek as she and the other two boys exited the room. "What happened?" I asked. I was so confused. "Well Professor Fairway cut your fingers. She zapped you with a curse that would make you bleed to death," my mum explained. She turned to my dad. "Lucky for you Gemma, when you were falling, James caught you on his broom and flew you to the hospital wing. Mcgonagall owled us saying that you were severely injured and to come as quick as we could. We were scared to death, Genma," my dad said "You should really thank James. He's the one who saved you," my sister said. Summer was right. It was James. It was always James from the start. "You can go Gemma. You're okay to go to class now," Madam Pomfrey added. I nodded and got out of the bed. My clean white shirt was covered in blood. My dad looked at my mum and my mum and looked at my dad. I think my mum knew (like all mums do) and she held up my grey sweater vest and my robe. I put it on and grabbed my messenger bag which was beside the bed. I gave everyone in my family big hugs and waved goodbye as I walked out of the hospital wing doors. I looked at my watch. It was time for potions. I hope Professor Fairway got fired. She tried to kill me! I pushed open the doors. Everyone stared at me. I saw Samantha as she motioned for me to sit with her. Professor Santudy is the new potions professor. Potions class was relaxing. I could just escape from what was happening to me. I'm sure I've said that like a million times by now but it's true. I love potions so much. It really helps me through life. The rest of the day was a blur but when I got back to my dorm after class, a note was waiting for me on my desk.

Gemma-
I'm so sorry I've ever doubted you. I should have known it was Kendra all along. I mean do you remember our first... you know what? I'm just not going to bring her up. You're the only one on my mind and I could never live without you. Meet me in the ROR after dinner if you feel the same way.
Sincerely,
James Potter

I don't know diary. I love James, I really do but I don't know if he really loves me back. I decided to go to the room of requirement. When I was getting ready to leave, Samantha asked "Where are you going?" I froze. Samantha caught me. She didn't tell McGonagall our first year when I snuck out with James in room of requirement but I didn't know if she would let this one slide as well. "To see James," I told her. If I was going promise anyone in my dorm to keep my secret, it would be Samantha. "Cool. Romance in the dark," she replied with a big smile on her face. "I dunno. I'm just going to meet with him because I don't know if he likes me but I at least want to be friends with him," I told her. She nodded and I grabbed my bag. I stuffed my blue sweatshirt, James's note, and my wand into my bag and left. Samantha went back to reading her transfiguration book. I've read some of it. It's a really good transfiguration book. I always love reading about transfiguration. When I got to the room of requirement, I stood in front of the doors. I stared down at my hands, each finger buried in layer of bandages. All my fingers were going to be scared for sure. I slightly pushed open the door, then I pushed it open all the way. No one was there. It was really strange. But it was set up similar to it was in my first year. Candles and rose petals. The cream walls and the soft glow. The table was gone. It was just a big room with candles and rose petals. I walked in and set my bag down near the entrance. I pulled out my wand and pointed it forward. I walked into the main part of the room. As soon as I realized I was alone, I put my hand that was holding my wand down to my side. I made my way to the middle of my room. As soon as I did, a note appeared in front of me and I grabbed it.

Gemma-
I can't make it tonight. I'm stuck in my dorm. Wyatt knows where I'm going and he's trying to let me through but the other guys want me to stay and have guys night with them. I wanted to come see you but I guess we need cancel for tonight. Goodnight Gemma.
Sincerely,
James Potter

I can't believe this! He abandoned me. I ran out of the room and grabbed my bag on the way out. I ran down the halls, trying not to get caught. To my luck, I bumped into someone. I fell to the ground and my bag slipped out of my hands. I reached out and grabbed my wand which had fallen out of my bag. I pointed it to where I had collided. "Lumos," I whispered. The tip of my wand lit up and saw someone's face. It was James. "Wait. What are you doing here? I thought you were stuck in your dorm," I asked. "I was going to surprise you. I guess I did that but only not the way I had planned," he said. "Listen I have to get back to my dorm so I guess I'll see you tomorrow," I replied "Nox." I could hear him calling my name as I walked down the hallway back to the Gryffindor common room. Tears began to stream down my face as I came back to reality. I could never be with a guy like James. He was so sweet and caring and I didn't deserve any of that. I wiped my face. I said the password and walked through the painting. I sat down by the fireplace. I buried my face in my hands. Ten minutes after I had came into the common room, I heard someone come in. I had assumed it was James when a hand was placed on my shoulder but when the hand began to grip my shoulder, I knew it wasn't him. As soon as I turned around to face the person, I was knocked out. The next thing I knew, I was in the headmistress McGonagall's office. I looked at my hands. Still buried in bandages but my wrists were tied down to the side of the chair I was sitting in. So were my feet. "Poor little Gemma. You think your life is perfect now that I'm gone. Now you're in more trouble than ever before because I'm the new headmistress. Evil shall live forever. Voldemort shall live forever because I am his daughter," a voice said but I knew who it was. It was her but I just couldn't believe it. "How are you here," I asked but the voice would not show herself. "I used magic of course. How do you think I got to be a professor in the first place. I will marry James, I will be rich, and I will rule the whole wizarding world!" She came out. It was Kendra. How am I not surprised? "Why do you want James so much?" I asked "I love him, he's taken." "Not anymore Gemma. He's still not your boyfriend now isn't that right?" she replied. Tears streamed down my face. I couldn't stop her. She was the daughter of you-know-who. I looked down. I couldn't bear to think what was going to happen to James. Even though I didn't deserve James, Kendra most certainly did not. I'm still his friend, I guess, and I need to protect him. I love him and I can't stand to see him suffer. "Why don't you stop this all now, dear Gemma. The fighting can be all done if you just surrender," she said as she held my chin up with her bony and pale hand. My tears fell onto her hand but I said strongly "Never."
Sincerely,
Gemma Jade Malfoy
