*Fred's POV*

I woke up with a grin on my face, today was Riley's birthday and I had the best plan for her. It was a Saturday so I had told every one of her friends that we were going to have a little party in my dormitory for her. It was going to be a surprise and we all agreed that it would be good to decorate the room with streamers and poppers. George and I were going to provide food from the kitchen, and Harry Hermione and Ron said they would keep Riley busy in Hogsmeade for the afternoon until everything was set up.

"Are you ready to get this started?" George asked as he stretched from his bed beside me.

I nodded, "what colors are we using?"

George shrugged, "purple and blue are her favorite colors."

I smiled, "let's get to work then!"

Together we waved our wands and placed all the streamers around the room, hanging them from the ceiling and our beds; I moved our beds to the side and expanded the room for more space.

After ten minutes of decorating everything was perfect, we began to set up a table for the food in the corner. After thirty minutes of working our room was fit for a birthday party. I smiled at our handy work.

"She'll love it," I mused. George nodded beside me as he sat down on his bed.

We went down to lunch in the Great Hall and saw everyone sitting at the table, talking excitedly.

            "Everything all set?" Seamus called.

            George and I nodded.

The day went by slowly and it wasn't until the afternoon did Riley and the others return, dinner was the hardest part of the evening.

"Why can't I eat like I normally do?" Riley whined as she sat next to me.

I laughed, "I don't want you getting sick. Ron may be able to shovel it all in but you could get sick if you keep eating like him."

Riley sighed, "fine then I'm just going to bed."

"No!" I shouted, everyone around us froze, if I revealed my plan we were all doomed—Riley hated surprises when she knew about them and I wasn't one for ruining this. "I mean...I haven't seen you all day, and its Saturday so we can stay up late talking."

            Riley smiled excitedly, "alright."

I nodded and sighed in relief as I continued to eat. Once George and I were done, I took Riley out for a short walk around the grounds in order for everyone to get ready and into our dormitory. After twenty minutes of walking we headed to the Gryffindor tower and up to my room—which made Riley nervous.

I grasped her hand, "why are you so nervous?"

Riley blushed, "it just feels odd anytime I go near your room."

I smiled and pushed the door open, suddenly paper streamers were falling down with confetti mixed in as everyone shouted happy birthday.

            Riley laughed, "thanks guys!"

I looked around the room: Dean, Seamus, Neville, Harry, and Ron were towards the side. Hermione, Ginny, George, Lee, and Angelina made a circle around the door as we walked in.
