*George's POV*

I was sitting in the living room playing chess with Lee when Riley walked up and sat beside me, I smiled at her and continued my game.

"Can I play winner?" Riley asked excitedly.

Lee nodded and I shrugged as I took Lee's queen, and ended our game, "I have to be off anyway. See you later," Lee commented as he got up and waved goodbye.

"I'm glad to see that you're alright," I smiled as she sat across from me. I tried not to stare but I couldn't help but notice that her arms had gashes running up them and even her face had a few cuts. I noticed one cut on her left arm that seemed to wrap its way down her bicep.

"Would you like a picture?" Riley stated coldly as she looked at me, she frowned as I averted my eyes from hers, you could tell that she had a black eye at one point because the shadow of it was still evident. But what made me avert my eyes the most was the one scar that crossed the bridge of her nose and down to her cheek, it was healed but the pink scar remained and it made my blood boil just thinking about how she got it. You normally didn't see it because Riley was good at wearing makeup but she wasn't today so it was evident against her light skin.

"Sorry," I muttered as her pawn took one of my own.

"Do I look that bad?" her voice was barely above a whisper as she sat up straight and leaned back on her hands.

"No, its just...looking at you makes me really pissed that we trusted Malfoy for even a second," I muttered. It was true, Riley had told us after years of convincing that Draco actually could be a nice person but just looking at her reminded me that it was his fault that she was so beat up.

"Yeah, I can understand that," Riley laughed slightly. "Where did you think I was anyway?"

"We all had theories, mine was you were taken by probably Lucius himself. Fred was always quiet about what he thought but I'm pretty sure he guessed you were taken by the ferret...some of the Order thought you ran for your life, others thought you knew where Ron and them were so you ran to join them," I rubbed my neck as I remember listening to various people give their ideas of where Riley had gone to at one of the Order meetings.

"Well, I was taken by a Malfoy but no, I had no clue where Harry and them were so I didn't go join them and I didn't run for my life...but I won't lie, I had thought about it. When Bill was quiet about me getting to see Fred, I was thinking of running on my own."

I studied her for a moment, her face was furrowed in concentration but as I stared at her I thought I was looking at the same Riley who had sat on my kitchen table and confessed about how scared she was. "I'm glad you're back and safe now, Fred was well...he was worse than he was last year when you were at school and he was at the shop, he had this whole plan to get you...saying he would take you away from everything," I frowned as I remembered the first month Riley was back at school and I was almost tempted to go and bring Riley to the shop just to make him stop moping around like someone had taken his bone away.
