*Riley's POV*

I walked beside George down the newly polished halls, past healers and patients as we neared Fred's private room. I stepped into the small room and couldn't help but tear up as I looked at Fred, the dried blood and cuts from the war were gone and faded and all that remained was the perfect guy unconscious in the small bed. George took a seat in the corner while I walked up and took Fred's hand in mine.

"He's doing better today," George commented.

"How do you know?" I asked as I turned to look at him.

"His chart, the brain activity has increased. I assume that's good," George shrugged.

I nodded as I moved to sit on the edge of Fred's bed, stroking his hand lightly, "I don't know what I'm going to do about this baby if...if..." I shook my head, trying to shake all thoughts from my mind.

"You know, a long time ago. Fred and I were sitting in bed and he asked me a favor," George whispered as he came to place an arm around my shoulders.

"What was the favor?" I asked as I wiped my eyes slightly.

"Fred said that if anything were to happen to him, I was to take care of you. We'll get through this together, everyone is here for you. I'll do everything I can."

I nodded, Fred would ask George to do that, it was expected actually. We sat in silence, just listening to the noises from the hall, until a healer walked in, he was tall with side-swept blonde hair and he wore thick black glasses, my heart gave a little leap as I stared at him. He was good looking, I'll give him that, but he had nothing on my Fred.

"So you must be....Riley Wood and George Weasley?" the man began as he looked over a chart.

"Yeah, that's us," George smiled.

"Ah, well I'm Cameron Anderson," he smiled at us as he walked closer into the room.

"Are you Fred's healer then?" George asked.

"Yes, I have a few other patients on this floor. But I promise Fred will be my top priority," he smiled a dazzling smile at us.

"Is there any chance he'll be up soon?" I asked hopefully as Cameron walked around the other side of Fred and checked a small monitor that had been placed in the corner.

"Hard to tell really, I want to say he'll be up in a few days but it could take months, you can't truly tell with his condition," Cameron sighed as he gave me a sympathetic smile. "He was hit by a spell as well as a wall collapse, treating both things are going to take time."

"Fred will be fine right?" George asked.

"Oh yes! But it will take time..."

George and I nodded as he smiled and turned back to his work, I looked at George and saw that his eyes were glossed over, he was holding back tears as he looked down at his brother.

"if something happens and he wakes up while you aren't here, I will personally make sure you get an owl right away," Cameron gave us a reassuring smile. "We're working round the clock to get him situated."

"Thank you," George whispered.

"What exactly is wrong with him?" I whispered as I stroked Fred's fringe from his face. My eyes searched for the small chain but it was gone, I suppose they took it off him, my hand flew up to my neck where the small F laid against my skin.
