I woke up wearing nothing but my underwear as I lay under the covers. I rolled over to see that Taylor had left. I stretched and ran my fingers through my hair. The thought of what had happened last night made my head pound. I rolled off the covers and grabbed Taylor's t-shirt that he had left behind. I put it on and walked over to the kitchen and got some juice. A few minutes later Jason walked in, wearing his boxers and a t-shirt.
"You were out pretty late last night, huh?" I asked him. "What time did you get in?"
He walked over to the fridge and got some juice too.
"I don't know. All I know is, by the time I left, Brett's parents were leaving for work." he said.
I let out a sigh of relief. That must've meant that he didn't see Taylor, thank god.
"Well what's on your agenda for today?" I asked him.
"I was thinking about hangin at the beach. Brett and some other guys wanna go check out the chicks." he said sitting on the couch and pulling out his cell phone. "You should come as our winggirl."
"You mean you actually want me to go somewhere with you and your friends? That's a new one." I said, sitting beside him. I really wasn't in the mood to go to the beach and face Taylor the morning after, or Cameron. "Thanks for the offer, but I think I'm gonna head to the boardwalk and do some shopping instead."
"Aw, c'mon, Jada. Come have some fun." he shoved me.
"Jason, trust me. The last thing I want is some fun right now. If it makes you feel better I'll meet you at the beach after I do some shopping. Just please, let me take some time alone." I said, standing up.
He crinkled his nose. "You aren't lying to me about something are you?"
"No. I told you I just want to be alone."
"The last time you wanted to be alone, we both know what happened." he looked me in the eyes.
"I promise, I'm fine. It's not like that, I swear." I started to walk into the hallway.
"Just please, Jada. Don't push your family away again." he called after me, looking back at his phone as I walked into my room.
I shut the door behind me and changed into a fox rider tank top and some black softie shorts. I put on my purple vans and grabbed the car keys and walked out the door.

The traffic was very heavy but that didn't scare me away. Once I found an okay parking spot I got out of the car and walked onto the boardwalk, putting on my purple sunglasses. I popped a piece of gum in my mouth and walked around.
The sun was beating down, burning my skin. But I loved it. I stopped and got a grape slushie and went to a few stores and picked up a few things. I was walking out of Pacsun when I decided that I spent enough time on my own and should probably head to the beach. So I got in my car and left.
I hit the sand and popped off my flip flops and carried them beside me as I aproached Jason and his friends. I didn't get close enough before Taylor spotted me. He was talking to some tall red head. He kissed her on the cheek and then sprinted over to me. I rolled my eyes, putting my hand on my hip, and stood there, waiting for him to approach me.
"Sup, girl?" he asked when he finally reached me.
"Just came to chill with my brother." I told him. The wind blew through my hair as Taylor stood there staring at me.
"Well you think we could hang again soon? Because I had a really good time last night." he said, getting closer to me.
I just shrugged and turned to see a boy with blonde hair styled up in a quiff hairstyle walking over. I recognized him as the guy who was throwing a football around with Cameron.
