I threw the frisbee and watched as it flew towards Jason. He caught it and tossed it back. It whipped past my head. I just stood there with my hands on my hips. Brett got up from his spectator spot and grabbed the frisbee, tossing it to me. I caught it and he jogged over to me.
"You know what I really like?" he asked.
"What, Brett." I said, completely uninterested as I flung the frisbee to Jason.
"I really like a girl who can toss a frisbee." he said.
I let out a sigh. "That's fasinating." I said.
Just then the frisbee came zooming over to us, hitting Brett right in the nose, knocking him to the ground.
"Whoops." Jason called from his end of the beach. I busted up laughing.
"Not funny." Brett said, standing up and rubbing the bridge of his nose.
I bent down to pick up the frisbee and I laughed even harder. I looked up and immediately caught eye contact with Matt, who was shooting hoops alone from across the beach. The smile wiped off my fave almost immediately.
It has been almost a week since I've seen Cameron. After our late night adventure on the rocks he just seemed to disappear. I tried talking to Taylor but he has told me nothing. I wanted to see Cam so bad. To hear his beautiful voice and get lost in his eyes once more.
"Dude? You totally messed up my shot." Jason said, jogging over to us.
"Uhm, hello? Can you not aim for me next time, dumbass." Brett said.
I just continued to stare at Matt, wanting nothing more than Cam to come out of nowhere.
"Jada, it's been a week. Give it up." Jason said, noticing what I was doing.
"Shut up, Jason." I said.
"Jason is right." Brett said. I shot him a dirty look.
"Please, Brett. Enlighten me." I said.
"He's gone. He had his fun and now he left. End of story. Personally, I think you should move on to someone more up your alley, like me." he said.
"Personally, I think you should go fuck yourself." I said back at him with a smile. "Now if you'll excuse me I'm gonna find out what's really going on."
I turned towards Matt, shoved the frisbee against Brett's chest and walked over to where he was shooting hoops.
"Hey." I yelled, looking at Matt. He shot one more hoop then looked at me, holding the basketball to his side.
"Aye. What's up football girl?" he asked.
I squinted at him and put my hands on my hips.
"Calm down, I'm just messing with you." he said, walking over to me. "Let me guess, you wanna know about Cam?"
"I just wanna know why he hasn't been around." I said.
"He's just been busy." He said. "Nothing you need to worry about."
I gave him a confused look.
"What could he possibly be busy with that he can't find time to spend at the beach?" I asked him.
"It's not my place to tell you." he said. Then he turned and slam dunked the ball into the hoop. I rolled my eyes as I started to walk away. "Hey. You should come to the beach party tonight. Who knows, maybe loverboy will be there."
I smiled and jogged back over to Jason and Brett.
"Well, what'd you find out, princess?" Jason asked, smirking.
