We walked through the entrance gates to the line for the ferris wheel. Cameron leaned against the the gate and looked at me.

"So, I have a question." he said. "Why'd you do it?"

"Why did I do what?" I asked him.

"Taylor." he said.

My heart dropped into my stomach. I looked down at my hands. And stood in silence. After a moment I looked up into Cameron's eyes. They were burning into mine. I felt my heart beating in my throat.

"Why does it matter to you so much." I finally said.

"Because, you're so hard to read. I never can tell what you're thinking or why you look at me the way you do." he said.

He took a step toward me.

"I don't look at you any type of way. And maybe I just don't wanna be easily read. What's so wrong about that?" I said, his eyes burning on mine.

He walked closer to me until I felt him breathing down my neck.

"It's not like you would understand my way of thinking even if I did tell you." I said.

He looked deeper into my eyes. He put both of his arms around each side of me, pressing me against gate behind me.

"Try me." he whispered. His body so close to mine that it was almost magnetic.

His voice was compelling. I hated that he made me feel so weak. My body was trembling. Never have I ever felt like this because of a boy. I stared back into his eyes until my eyes flickered down to his lips. I wanted to kiss his beautiful lips so badly. I wanted to put my arms around his waste and pull his body against mine.

"Next!" yelled the guy working the ferris wheel. We both jumped, snapping out of our trance.

I followed Cameron as he stepped up onto the platform. The worker opened the door to the seat and we both stepped in. He locked the door and Cameron and I sat in silence as the chair lifted up into the sky.

Once we stopped at the top a cool breeze blew through my hair. I shivered and Cameron smiled at me, scooting closer and putting his arm around me. His body temperature was like fire as always. As much as my head told me how stupid this was and against everything Taylor told me, I didn't fight it. His skin made mine tingle. I was sitting there trembling like a chihuahua in the his arms. And the worst part about it, I never wanted it to stop.

We sat in the chair, looking up at stars. I slowly felt my mind slip off into a new world. I wasn't in reality anymore. I was in a dreamland, in Cameron's arms. With him, I felt like anything was possible. I wanted, more then anything to be his. This guy, that I barely know, I want him, more then anything I have ever wanted in my entire life. I felt so vulnerable. Like I was giving him the power to hurt me. Which I knew, that was exactly what I was doing. But I'm not a smart girl, so I didn't even care.

By the time the fairess wheel was back at the bottom I had come back to reality. Cameron and I jumped out and exited the ride. But before I could go any further he grabbed my arm and pulled me to him. My body was trembling and my heart was racing. The heat between us went up in flames. We were staring into each other's smoldering eyes. I was inhaling his scent, like I couldn't get enough. He smelled of the hottest cologne, but that's not the only scent that drove me wild. It was the scent of Cameron. Cameron alone smelled so sexy I felt like I had to stop breathing so that I could stop inhaling it so I'd calm down.

He bit his lip and leaned into my face. My lips were tingling. I closed my eyes and leaned forward as I felt his heat getting closer to my lips.

Before I could even touch his lips to mine he was yanked off me, causing me to lose my balance and stumble forward. I looked up to see Taylor, Matt, and Penny standing before us. Taylor grabbed Cameron and got up in his face, yelling at him and pulling his fist back.

"Get your hands off her!" he was yelling at the top of his lungs. "What the fuck do you think this is?! A fucking game!?"

Matt tried to pull Taylor off of him but Taylor elbowed him in the face, knocking him to the ground. I lunged forward and leaned over Matt and saw his nose was bleeding. I shook him awake and he blinked a few times before he came to.

"What the fuck?!" Cameron yelled, shoving Taylor.

Penny screamed and ran over to Cameron trying to pull Taylor off of him but Taylor swung at Cameron, punching him in the lip.

"Taylor, stop!" I yelled as I stood up, trying to pull them apart.

"What do you think this is, Jada!?" he yelled, getting in my face. "I fucking told you about him!"

"Leave her alone!" Cameron yelled, punching Taylor straight in the face

Cameron's lip was starting to bleed as Taylor covered his eye where he had hit him. Penny grabbed Cameron's arm and pulled him towards her.

"Let's get out of here." she said, her voice weak from crying.

"I agree." I said, helping Matt up.

We all left the boardwalk and headed back to the beach. I walked with Matt while Taylor walked infront of us and Penny and Cameron walked behind us. I heard Penny crying and Cameron's voice trying to comfort her. No matter what I did I couldn't block it out.

"What a fucking mess." Matt said.

"Tell me about it." I said back. "How did you guys find us?"

"Well we realized Cameron was gone for a while, which wasn't much of a shocker. But then your brother pointed out that you were gone too and Taylor flipped shit and told Penny. They decided to go looking for you, which I knew it was gonna end badly so I came with them but obviously it was no use."

"Shit." I said, running my hand through my hair in frustration. "Things really couldn't have gone any worse."

Once we reached the beach everybody was gone except for Jason and Brett. Once they noticed us all walking back they ran over to us. I took a deep breathe preparing for him flipping out on me.

"Oh my god!" he yelled. "What the fuck happened!?"

"Calm down, Jason, please." I said. "You yelling is not gonna help anything."

"Why is everybody bleeding? What the hell, Jada! What did you do?!"

"Jason, please!" I started to raise my voice. "Can we talk about this later. I just wanna go home."

I looked back at Cameron and Penny. He had his arm around her and she was crying into his shoulder. He looked up and caught eye contact with me, but instead of our usual staring into each other's eyes, he looked away almost immediately. I felt my heart drop with that simply look he gave me. I turned back around and looked at Jason.

"Jada, tell me what happened right now." he said.

"Seriously, it's like we missed out on World War III." Brett cut in.

I turned to Matt and gave him a hug.

"I'm really sorry." I said. "If I wouldn't have went with Cameron in the first place you wouldn't have gotten knocked in the nose."

He chuckled.

"It's all good. I've been through worse." he shrugged his shoulders and leaned into me, whispering in my ear, "Good luck with your brother."

I smiled as he pulled away and then walked away from everyone and back to the apartment complex as I blocked out Jason's yelling while everything that happened tonight replayed through my head over and over like a broken record.
