Two weeks and four parties later, Cameron and I had hooked up at every one. We were both keeping it a secret, obviously because of Penny, but also because we just didn't want people knowing, causing more trouble. I couldn't help but worry about what I was getting myself into. But the thing about Cameron is, when you're with him he makes it seem like everything is okay. So I fall for it every time and hook up with him, knowing it's wrong.
It wasn't easy. I wanted so badly to be able to run up to him in public, wrap my arms around him, leaping into his arms and leave kisses all over his cute face. The secret was killing me and I knew it had to stop before my heart got ripped to shreds.
It hurt like hell knowing Penny would always be the one he'd go home to at the end of the day and I would always be known as just the girl who he could hook up with whenever he was bored. But something still kept me around. Was it the way he looked at me after we just had sex? The way he brushed my hair out of my face and kissed my forehead? The way he looked deep into my eyes and told me how beautiful I was? Yes, it did make me fall harder. But it was also the way he looked at me from across the room. It made me feel like we were the only two people in the room and I was the only girl he wanted, even if his arm was around Penny.
Well, Friday night and it's another party. I didn't know the person who was hosting it but Matt invited me, saying he'd be my escort, knowing that Cameron would be there. He didn't know about our affairs but it was pretty obvious to him something was going on between us. So I figured I'd go and keep my distance (as much as I could) from Cameron.
I looked in the mirror one last time. My hair was straightened and I had makeup with dark purple lips. I wore a short little black dress that had black see-through mesh material on my chest, sleeves, and torso. It was also covered in some spots with black rhinestones. I slipped on purple heels and some black stud earrings. I had to admit, I looked hot.
Around 8 pm Matt showed up wearing a white button up shirt, a bow tie and black pants. He looked adorable, if I do say so myself.
"Awh, Matt, look at you all dressed up! You look adorable!" I said, smiling as I swung open the door.
He was practically jumping up and down with excitement as he fastened his bowtie. When he looked up and caught sight of me his smile wiped off his face.
"Damn, Jada. You look.. amazing." he said, clearing his throat.
I blushed and grabbed my small bag off the counter.
"Let's go!" I said, grabbing his hand and practically running down the hall with him.
We got into his red corvette, which was actually Cameron's, and drove about 15 minutes to the house. When we arrived to the huge brick house the driveway was packed so we parked across the street. Matt got out and came around the other side, opening my door. I hesitated getting out, feeling butterflies fill in my stomach as I sat there, staring at the house.
"You ok?" he asked.
"Not really." I said, breathlessly.
"Everything will be fine, Jada." he said, smiling at me.
"Promise?" I asked, looking at him.
"Promise." he said, offering me his hand.
I grabbed it and he pulled me to my feet as we approached the front door. Music was blaring and people were piling inside. We followed the crowd of people shoving inside.
As soon as we entered we got hit with the intense smell of alcohol and weed. Colorful lights blinked across the main room where everybody was rubbing up against eachother to the beat of your music. Smoke machines were going off but you couldn't tell what weed and what was just fog. Needless to say, the party was awesome.
