Jack got really sick yesterday, and his mom told him he need to stay at home at least today, which he was totally fine with. All the time he was talking to the mysterious guy, even though Jack couldn't stop thinking about how he didn't get caught. He's in school, after all. Every time Jack asked him about it, he just brushed it off and told him that he's okey, but Jack was still worried. Now school was over, but Jack didn't hear from the mysterious guy since lunch time, and he was suspicious. Why didn't he answer to Jack?
Mark was at the meeting with Nate and the others again, having fun and doing stupid things together. They were working on the animatronics (which were just some hand puppets) and laughed every time they had an extra eye, or a missing hand. Mark was completely ignoring his phone, as well as everyone, because no one thought they're gonna need it. Mark was also still nervous about his voice, even though everyone told him that it's fine and that nobody's judging. When they were finally done, everyone talked with stupid voices for the animatronics, and Mark and Nate couldn't stop laughing.
Don't tell anyone, but Mark had the tinniest crush on Nate. Well, maybe not the tinniest, but you get me. So when they both got out of school together, Mark couldn't be more happy when Nate nervously asked him out for a movie and dinner later on this day. You could see the excitement and happiness in Nate's eyes when Mark agreed to go, almost jumping in the air and screaming 'yes'. They agreed to meet up at the mall at six, and then they both walked home smiling like a kid that got his favorite candy. Mark felt a buzz in his pocket, and got out his phone to open up Kik.
S.M- Dude! Come on! I'm fucking bored!
M.F- Calm down, I'm here now.
Mark was actually on his way to Jack's house to give him his little basket with a lot of chocolates, and a little note that says 'hope you're getting better. -your dorf' for the game. When he got to the house's front door, he placed the basket beneath it and went over to hide behind a tree in the garden. He then texted Jack.
M.F- Hey, open your door.
S.M- What? Why?
M.F- Just open it.
S.M- Okey...
Mark waited a couple of seconds, and then he heard the door open. Jack looked down at the little basket, and a smile creeped on his face. "Oh, that's so cool!" He whispered to himself, and Mark giggled. Jack got out his phone.
S.M- So you're my dorf?
M.F- Nah, but he asked me to send it to you.
Jack stopped for a minute before writing again.
S.M- Do you happen to know where does Mark Fischbach live?
Mark grinned to himself.
M.F- Yeah I think so.
S.M- Great! Can you please send him his gift?
M.F- Yeah sure.
Mark saw Jack getting inside the house with the little basket, and then getting back with a little bag in his hands.
M.F- Get in the house.
S.M- But I wanna see you!
M.F- You know it's not gonna happen.
Just then, Jack started to cough and sneeze again, almost falling on the ground. Jack sent Mark a little message that says he's lucky that he's sick, placed the little bag where the little basket was, and got in the house again. Mark quickly got the bag and started to walk over to his own house. On the way to his house, he saw that the bag was full of jelly beans, Oreo cookies, marshmallows and a lot of other kinds of candies. He smiled, and got a little marshmallow to eat on his way, before putting the bag inside his backpack.
He got home quickly, he then put his backpack in his room and went over to the kitchen to see his mom. He ran over and hugged her happily, slightly bouncing up and down. "Um.. Hey? How come you're so happy all of a sudden?" Mark's mom asked, confused at her son's change in mood.
Mark got a paper and a pen, and started writing about his date, still slightly bouncing. He handed his mother the little note, and a smile grew on her face as she read it. When she finished, she hugged him again. "That's great hun! Have fun! You should get ready, the mall is twenty minutes away and it's already half to five." She said after looking at her watch. Mark's eyes widened and he ran up to his room. He took a super quick shower, threw on his lucky flannel and blue jeans, and stormed down the stairs, smiling.
He gave his mother one last quick hug, and got out of the house after his mom gave him the keys to the car. Mark got to the mall after about 25 minutes of him driving almost like mad, thinking he's late. He parked the car and went to the entering of the mall. He decided to get him and Nate milkshakes while he waits, and as he got back to the entering, he saw Nate storming in the mall, looking like he just ran a whole marathon. Without saying anything, Mark handed Nate his milkshake, thinking he'd need it.
Nate smiled brightly at Mark, as if saying 'Thank you', for he was out of breath and couldn't really speak. Mark pointed to the big doors of the entering, silently asking if Nate wants to get out and get some air before the movie, and after Nate nodded, they both got out of the mall. They found a bench and sat on it, Nate gathering his breath back before speaking. "Sorry, I was late, my mother didn't tell me she took the car and I had to run over here." Mark laughed quietly at Nate's situation, and Nate only smiled.
"That's okey, I'm glad I got you that milkshake then. By the way, you don't mind me talking this quietly or not talking at all, do you?" Mark asked hesitantly. "Of course not. I still think your voice is amazing and that you shouldn't be ashamed of it, but I don't want you to feel uncomfortable." Nate said softly. "Thanks," Mark smiled and drank a bit from his milkshake. They both talked quietly and drank from their milkshakes, enjoying each other's company. After they finished the milkshakes they agreed to watch Dr. Strange, and got their tickets, going to the movie.
Some time around the middle of the movie, Nate's hand reached out and found it's way to Mark's. Mark blushed slightly, intertwining their fingers, what caused Nate to blush madly. After the movie, they got some pizza, and Mark offered to take Nate back to his house. After a little bit time of arguing, Nate agreed. At the car ride their fingers were still intertwined, and when they got to Nate's house, he hesitated before placing a small kiss on Mark's cheek. "I'll see you tomorrow." He said, before going out of the car, leaving Mark to smile madly.
