After about a month and a half of Mark and Nate going out each Saturday, of Jack being completely ignored, and of Mark, Nate and the others joking around, it's time to film the musical. Nate introduced Matt to everyone in the group, after he found him and literally begged him to play in the musical, for they missed an actor in the place of the villain, because nobody wanted to be in this place. Matt agreed to play just because he wanted to laugh at the others and do the Phone Guy's voice; they had no problem with it.
Jack got a little sadder each day, since his best friend was ignoring him, as well as his other friends, and he doesn't know why. On top of it all, after about five years of him trying to contact his parents again, they answered, but they also got to another fight, and this fight got him to cry his eyes out for a whole weekend. He's not really excited for the new years in two weeks, he'd have to celebrate it by his own this year. He doesn't think he'll celebrate with any of his friends this year, the fight got him so upset that he doesn't want to get out of his house more than he has to.
For Mark, well, he would hate to admit that, but he feels kinda bad for Nate. Mark doesn't feel like he felt a little bit more than a month ago, but he couldn't say that to Nate, he didn't have the heart to. However, today was different. Mark decided to talk to Nate today, he just couldn't hold himself anymore. So after they finish today's last rehearsal, and filming the first scenes, he's gonna tell Nate, he just have to.
So, after the meeting with the others, they both stopped each other before the other can leave. "Listen, I-" "Look, I-", they both started talk at the same time, but mark nodded towards Nate, silently asking him to speak first. "Look, I, I don't really know how to say that.. We, we had a great time together, really, but- I just don't feel that, that 'spark', you know? I know it's sounds cheesy but I.. I don't know.." Nate started to mumble over and over to himself, but Mark sighing greatfuly cut him of, and Nate gave Mark a strange look.
"It's okey, that's what I was going to say. But.. Hey, we're still friends, right? I mean, you're like, my best friend and almost only friend now, all of my other friends seem to just ignore me.." He chuckled nervously, followed by Nate doing the same. "Yeah, we can be friend. I would love that." He smiled, and they high fived, going out for separate ways. In the middle of the walk home, Mark remembered Jack, they didn't talk in a while. He got out his phone and sent a quick 'Hi', but frowned when he didn't get a reply after about five minutes.
That's strange, Jack usually answer right away, no matter what. Mark couldn't think of any way to figure out if something was wrong without Jack finding out who he is, so he did the only thing that Jack always did (before he gave up after having to do it a lot of times), and spammed Jack with so much messages that he thought his fingers will fall at some point. When he got home and Jack still didn't answer, he ate something that his mother made him (without even looking at it and checking it like he always does), and ran up to his room to continue spamming Jack.
Jack was in the middle of his daily crying, but was rudely interrupted by his phone buzzing endlessly. Who could it be? His friends were almost ignoring him, or was he ignoring them? Jack can't remember anymore. It can't be his parents trying to get to get him to talk to them again, because last time was just horrible. After he figured the buzzing wouldn't just stop, Jack got annoyed enough to have the courage to get his phone and finally tell this person to shut up.
He didn't even see who this person was before he sent the message.
S.M- Would you shut up already?
Just then, Jack saw who was texting him. The mysterious guy. Well, they didn't talk a lot lately, why was he worried all of a sudden?
M.F- Thank goodness, I was sure something bad happened. Are you okey?
Jack chuckled. Was he okey? Absolutely not. Did something bad happened? Hell yes. But was he really going to pour his heart to someone he barely knows? Definitely.
S.M- How can you know that something bad didn't happen? I'm feeling absolutely terrible, thank you.
M.F- Well, I'm really sorry to hear that. I know you probably don't want to talk about it, but is there any way that I can help?
Now, Jack smiled. This, funny, weird, mysterious guy probably knew Jack well, otherwise he wouldn't have known Jack really don't want to talk about the subject that makes him feel like shit, but ask how to help instead.
S.M- Well, you can tell me who you are.
M.F- Nah
S.M- But whyyyy?
M.F- Because I don't see how can this information help cheering you up. Now, let uncle Sparkle help you with your black sheep.
S.M- Uncle Sparkle? I'm literally laughing right now.
And that was true, Jack couldn't hold the laugh that came out of his mouth again. Man, this guy really knew how to help Jack.
M.F- See? Mission complete.
S.M- Thanks, uncle Sparkle.
