Jack was shocked, to say the least. He was also filled with happiness, and relief. Mark, on the other hand, was terrified. He was afraid that Jack will hate him now, and their friendship (or whatever they had) is now ruined. Before Jack could even react, Mark pulled away and got up, causing Jack to nearly fall from the couch. "M-Mark! W-w-wait!" Jack stuttered, still slightly shocked, but Mark already got out of the library. "What did just happen..?" Jack breathed out, sitting back down with his head in his hands. "My crush just kissed me.." He whispered to himself.
To say Mark was freaking out is an understandment, if I'm being honest. He just ran through the whole school, trying desperately to figure out what he should do. You're such an idiot, he said to himself. You shouldn't have done that! Stupid, stupid, stupid! What does Jack think now? He's probably disgusted, Mark thought. Why did he do that? What was he thinking? Mark found himself slowly walking up the stairs and to the roof. I'm going over there way too much. He chuckled. Mark pushed the heavy door and found himself on the familiar rooftop, snow falling on his head lightly.
Guess I'll be here for a while.. Mark smiled sadly. He sat near the edge, looking at all the small things beneath him, covered by the freezing blanket of snow. I wonder what happen if something fall over there.. Mark got up to look for something to throw, and found some rocks in different sizes. He got back to his spot, held one rock in the air, and then dropped it. The rock fell on the snow and made a 'puff' sound, it's meeting with the snow created something that looks like a small firework made out of snow.
Mark giggled at the beautiful sight. He didn't even know why. He continued to drop the rocks that he found, giggling again each time he saw them in the snow. Mark didn't know what was happening to him, but soon enough he got into a fit of laughter. He was pretty sure he was going crazy, with tears slowly showing in his eyes, dropping rocks on the snow only to get back to laughing hysterically every time. Mark sat back as he calmed down, still chuckled from time to time. "I really am crazy, huh? what has gotten in me..?"
In the meantime, Jack really freaked out. He ran through the library, crashing into almost every thing that was in his way. Luckily, nothing actually fell except for a single shelf full of books. Oh well, looks like someone is going to have to clean the mess. Right now, he was sitting on the couch, smiling like an idiot. "I should've run after him." He mumbled. Jack's blue eyes were puffy and full of tears, his body in an unknown position as he stared at the ceiling. "It's not too late, is it? I can still do something!" With that, Jack got up.
Mark lied down by now, staring at the cloudy skies. The snow that fell lightly kissed his face. it was starting to get cold, he should've brought a sweatshirt, but Mark didn't mind. He was thinking, of Jack. He thought of Jack's cute little smile, his beautiful blue eyes that shine every time he laughs. Mark also thought of their friendship, how he was grateful to have Jack as a friend, but how he wanted them to be more than friends too. Mark sighed and sat up, looking forward on the city. It's really freezing now, maybe he should get back.
Suddenly, he felt something warm wrap around him, and his hands are now holding an almost burning hot mug. Mark then felt a head on his shoulder, and could see Jack's green hair from above. Jack sighed, but that's the only sound that came out; not even a single word came out of either boy. They both just sat there in a complete silent, Mark's sipping from the unknown drink in the mug are the only sound, until Jack decided to make a move. "Hey Mark," Mark turned around to face Jack, humming in response. Instead of an answer, Jack smashed his lips on Mark's.
