"Ugh, why now?" Jack whined. "Hey, let's try and find something to lit up the school for the night as long as the sun is still up." Mark motioned for Jack to come along with him, out of the library. Jack reluctantly let go of his comfy blanket. "Fine." He sighed, and the both got out of the library to look for some light. Fortunately, the sun still helped and lit up the building. They walked over to the café first. "There must be some matches here." Mark said, determine to find something that could help them.

He looked in some drawers, and after some weird noises, he raised his hand in victory. "Ha! Found matches!" Jack's eyes widened, genuinely surprised. "Wow, I seriously didn't think you'll find something." He said, and Mark grinned. "Come on, I think I know where we can find candles." Mark held Jack's hand, leading him to the art class. "I'm sure Mr. Lee has something that we can lit up." Mark went under the desk. "Why do you think Mr. Lee-" Jack was cut off by Mark getting up, holding a couple of candles. "Why do you always underestimate my genius ideas?" Mark pouts.

"Hey! I wasn't underestimating- Ugh, who am I kidding? Sorry." Jack chuckled nervously. "That's fine, sometimes even I can't believe that I'm secretly a genius! Now come on, help me get those candles to the library." Mark passed Jack some candles, and took more himself. "I think that's enough. Let's go." The boys came back to the library, Jack almost immediately dropping the candles in his hands. "We should place each candle at a different place here and only lit them when the sun goes down, so their flame would last longer." He said.

"You're right, I'll go get cups we could put the candles in." Mark got out. A couple of minutes later, he came with glass cups. "Each one of us will have a cup too, we need to see where we're going." Jack nodded, and they started placing the candles in different places.
"Okay, I think we're done." Jack said once all the candles were in their small cups. "So what do we do now?" Mark asked. "I don't know about you, but I'd love to go back to my precious blanket and read a nice book." With that, Jack disappeared into the other part of the library.

To say Mark was bored is an agreement. He spent hours of trying to convince poor Jack to do something, but the guy just wanted some time with his book. Now Mark is lying on the ground next to the small couch Jack set on, the Irishman ignoring Mark's complains about how bored he is. Suddenly, Mark sat up straight. "Hey Jack," Jack let out a small 'Hmm?', still looking at his book. "Do you wanna build a snowman?" Jack closed his book, and raised his eyebrows in an 'Are you fucking kidding me?' Face. "Your ridiculousness has got to it's limit, huh? Why don't you read a book too?"

Mark whined and rolled his eyes. "Because I wanna build a snowman!" He said in a child-like voice. Jack sighed. "Where are we even going to build a snowman? We aren't supposed to go out." Mark got up. "We'll build it on the roof. C'mon, let's go before more snow will fall!" Mark jumped out of the library, full of energy. Jack looked outside just to check, and he saw that the snow had stopped falling. He smiled and put the book in it's place before going after Mark.

They came to the roof, Mark holding a carrot he took from the café. Jack rolled his eyes and smirked at Mark's childish behavior. It was cute when it wasn't too annoying. Jack started rolling snow, but tripped and fell on the ball he made. Mark laughed so hard that he had to hold his stomach so it won't hurt. Jack rolled sideways so he could be on his back, you could see his grumpy face was grumpier than the grumpy cat. When Mark calmed down, he offered a hand to Jack. "Here, take my hand. I hope you're okay."

Jack took his hand and Mark helped him to stand up. "Yeah, I'm fine, just really cold. Can we go inside? The sun is starting to set anyway." Mark was about to say something when he noticed that snow is starting to fall. He just nodded and wrapped a hand around Jack, trying to keep him warm. They got back to the library, and Mark unwrapped his hands around Jack. He took the matches. "Come on, let's lit up those candles before it's completely dark." They started to work quickly, sometime one of them would get a small burn but they'll laugh at his reaction almost immediately.

It was late, the boys could tell. The sun had set hours ago, and all of the candles' flames died. Well, except for Mark's. There was still a small flame lighting Mark and Jack, that were just staring at it. It seemed like there was only a minute until the flame will die. Mark and Jack were cuddling with each other, Jack leaning his head on Mark's shoulder, and Mark holding Jack with one hand, while with the other he held the cup with the candle. It was silent between the two, and Jack didn't want that.

"Hey Mark," Mark turned to look at Jack, humming instead of answering with words. "What do you really wish for right now?" Jack asked. Mark blushed lightly, but Jack couldn't see that. How was he supposed to answer that? "I can't really explain that.." Mark smiled nervously. "Can you show that then?" Mark shrugged. "Yeah, I guess I can." Jack shrugged too. "Well then, you better hurry up, the light will go out soon and I won't be able to see." Mark hesitated. How will Jack react? Fuck it, I have nothing to lose. Just as the flame died, their lips touched.
