HARRY'S POV

" you-you're lea-leaving"

I gasped as I read the letter again

To Mr. Malik

Dear Mr Malik, you have been instructed to take a military leave for 6 years, you will be trained to join the army to fight and defend your country, school will also be provided, our best staff from the best schools will tutor you, this is a message from the British military, we will be expecting you in 2 days, please contact us for information.

I was beyond shocked, I felt like my lungs and every breathing resource in my body had been shut down, I was already in full tears

"wh-what tw-two days" I chocked out

"yea" he whispered

"but you-you-you can't ,you can't leave me zayn , no" I cried

"you think I do, this is not my choice harry, my father died from this now do you really think that I want to risk my life,I don't harry, I don't want to leave" he cried

"then don't" I yelled

"I would if I could, but I can't harry, I  have to" he admitted

"wait, but you haven't even gotten to college yet, isn't that kinda wrong " I asked

"I don't know harry, they said they were gonna tutor me, but it's the law maybe they were waiting for me to graduate" he answered

"can't they find someone else, you Just fucking graduated zayn, you can't die" I screamed

"I won't harry I'll fight for you, I promise" he cried

"for 6 years zayn, I don't think I can do it, I can't, I just can't" I confessed

"are you breaking up with me?" he asked,a fresh new set of tears threatening to fall

"what no no, no, never, I'm just not sure if I can make it or last that long without you" I explained

"well you're gonna have to" he mumbled

"so you're actually leaving" I whispered

"harry,I have to, it's the law,I can't say no, I have to fight for my country, and I'll make sure that every day I'll fight and win, just to see you again" he whispered, cupping my cheeks

"but zayn, I'm older, couldn't they have taken me" I asked

"I don't  know harry, but I'd rather they take me than take you, at least I'll know you're okay" he admitted

"but I'm not, zayn, with you gone,I doubt I'll be happy, plus what about your mom, she just saw you graduate and the boys also, imagine how broken they're gonna feel and what about me, we planned our summer already and now we won't even be able to spend a quarter of it together" I cried

"I know harry,I know, but I'll explain it to my mom and the boys later, tomorrow maybe" he said

"okay" I sniffed

"harry, c'mon, you're supposed to be the one comforting me, not the other way round" he whined

"well I'm sorry if I don't want to see the love of my life killed"  I cried
