Chapter 9 : Will You Be Mine?

I woke up still pressed to Ed my arms held tightly around his torso and his hands holding onto mine. I smile breathing deep and begin to stretch as best I can without the use of my hands, I stretch my back out which causes my chest to push further into Ed's back and the shirt I'm wearing to ride up and my bare flesh to touch his. I pull back startled at the contact and hoping I didn't bother Ed from his sleep. Suddenly his hands drop from mine he turns around smiling and places his hand on my cheek "Morning Nic." "Morning Eddie." I rub his arm and go to move closer to him but he stops me and pecks my lips quickly before getting up and turning to go to the restroom. "I've got a bit of um a morning issue Nic I've got to go to the toilet." I nod smirking a bit then and then whine "I'm going to find another then, I'm dying to pee." He looked over his shoulder at me and laughed shaking his head before going into the restroom. I went down the hall to a guest toilet to pee, then washed my hands and face after and made sure my hair wasn't a disaster. As I was getting ready to shut the water off and go out I heard a light tap on the door, "Come in Eddie." I laughed and he slid into the restroom and behind me smiling as he brought his arms around me handing me a toothbrush and toothpaste. I laughed "You saying I have morning breath?" He shrugged and smirked "Maybe." I shook my head at him pointing to the door and he sulked out of it, I brushed my teeth and laughed to myself going back into his room but he wasn't there. I slowly crept downstairs hearing Ed on the phone, I decided it was my turn to mess with him so I slowly made my way behind him as he was leaning against the counter on his phone and wrapped my arms around him pressing a kiss between his shoulder blades, he sighed and rubbed my arm with his free hand as he said his goodbyes. Once he set his phone down he turned around and smiled at me "Good morning gorgeous." I blushed and smiled "Morning Eddie." He brought his face down placing his lips softly against mine and kissed me slowly and deeply moving with intent as if he were trying to memerize how I should be kissed. I brought my hands to his face as I kissed him back just as slowly parting my lips for his tongue. Our mouths danced a bit longer before I pulled away and smiled "So what do you want for breakfast Eddie?" "I've already ordered take away, I'm having an English breakfast sent just for you to try out." I laughed shaking my head and nodded "Alright then Eddie." He smiled and went to sit on the sofa, I followed and he looked at me "Mum and dad are coming for lunch this Saturday." I smiled and nodded, I had met his parents a few times when they'd come for lunch or dinner, they were such lovely people, his mother would spend a good amount of time in the kitchen chatting with me and his father always had funny jokes to tell. "Nic, will you and the children join us?" My eyes shoot up to his and I bit my bottom lip, "You think that's a good idea Eddie?" He nodded smiling "Nic, I don't know how else to tell you that I need you, and I absolutely adore the children, and I want you to be in my life, for like, a long time." I looked into my lap "Oh." He took my chin in his hand moving my eyes to his "I know its a lot Nic. I'm a lot, I know that. But there's something here I can't describe. Something I've never felt before. If you don't feel it too just tell me now so we can at least still be friends. I can't go through getting hurt again, especially not without even having you as my friend." I'm not that girl who gets emotional and wants to pour my heart out, I'm not that girl that cries at stupid movies or songs, I'm just not that girl. But right now, sitting here next to Ed listening to him say these things about me, there's some part of me that's been sleeping for my entire life that's starting to be shaken awake. "I feel it too Eddie." I whisper. He smiles kissing my forehead and we cuddle up on the sofa watching films until the food arrives. Once the food arrives we eat on the sofa because Ed is currently making me rewatch the lord of the rings movies and we can't be bothered to eat at the table. Once the films are done and the food is gone I clean up and Ed goes to get dressed "Hey Ed." I call up the stairs and he appears at the top of them nearly fully dressed minus his trainers, "Yes Nic?" "Uh I have nothing to wear and no car." He smirks at me and shrugs "Guess you'll have to wear that until I take you to your car." I fold my arms "That's so mean Eddie!" He laughs shaking his head, "Actually you're putting a damper on my plans, I wanted to take you out but I'd rather everyone not see you in your knickers." "Uh me neither now can you pleeeeeease take me to my car?" I looked up at him with big eyes and a wide smile and he laughed kissing my forehead "Alright then Nic at least go put your pants on." I ran upstairs with Ed following me "Do you need to supervise my dressing Eddie?" "I might." We get into his room and I run into the toilet but before I can shut the door Ed is in it "What did I say about locking me out of my house Nic?" I laughed and began pulling my pants on then without fully thinking I pulled my shirt off, I heard Ed breathe in and then I quickly pulled my other shirt over my head when I felt hands on my bare hips and felt lips against my neck "You should take this back off, I like you in my shirt better." I close my eyes rubbing his back and laugh "You just want to see me without a shirt again." He smiles against my skin "Maybe but really I don't want anyone peaking at what's mine." He ran his hand across the cleavage that this shirt gave me and I sighed pulling it back over my head "Who said it was yours?" I ask him as his hands find my breasts and begin to knead them through my bra, "They're not?" He asks and I shake my head "No, they're mine." He pulls away and hands me his shirt I had taken off and I pull it over my head. "Will you be mine Nic?" "Only if you'll be mine Eddie." He smiles pulling me to him and kisses me deeply I smile against him pulling away "Since you got to fondle my goodies I get to do this cause I've been wanting to." He looks at me sideways and I slip my hands down from his waist and give his bum a firm squeeze. "You are so weird Nic." He laughs and I wink at him "And you've got a nice ass Eddie now let's go." He shakes his head turning to walk out of the room and I smack him on the bum running out in front of him down the stairs and out the door to his car. I stand next to the car waiting for him to unlock it as he locks the front door and comes toward me looking determined, I back up bumping into the car door and suddenly Ed is in front of me his body pressed against mine and his lips molding to mine as if that's the only reason they exist. He kisses me roughly holding me against the car then pulls back shaking his head as he unlocks the car opening the door for me "You're going to be the death of me, but I'll be happy." I smiled at him climbing into the seat and buckling as he went around to his seat and started the car. We drove to the pub with his hand snuggly holding mine across the console as we talked about what to do tonight and what to make for lunch for his parents. "Oh after lunch with your parents I have to take the kids to camp they're going to be gone for three days. I'm sad, I'm going to miss them but they really want to go." He smiles taking my hand to his lips and kisses it softly "You'll be ok babe, I'm sure they'll miss you too. I know I'm going to miss them, who will play with me?" I laugh rolling my eyes at him and smile. "Oh that's also good because I kind of wanted to have a dinner that night so you could meet my friends, is that ok babe?" I look at him with my head turned sideways and raise an eyebrow "You want me to meet your friends Eddie? But I'm so weird." We both laugh and he says "I am too so its ok." We get to my car and Ed says he'll follow me to my house so I can grab some stuff before we go out, once we get to mine we hurry inside and are greeted by a very needy Sox the cat, Ed picks her up and begins petting her "She's so cute Nic." I smile and give her a pet in his arms "She's a brat baby don't love on her too much or she'll never leave you alone." He smiles at me kissing my forehead "I like it when you call me baby." I blush and let him know I'm going to go get changed going into my room I change and grab my swim suit and some extra clothes just in case for later. Once I'm back out Ed is on the sofa still petting Sox and I smile nodding toward the door "Ready Eddie?" He smiles nodding and sets Sox down and comes up giving me a warm hug from behind whispering in my ear "You look beautiful baby, you always do." I look up at him behind me and smile kissing him softly. "Thank you Eddie you're so sweet and you always look so handsome." We go through the day walking around hidden parks and back road trails he traveled as a kid just holding hands and stealing kisses until we come to a beautiful forest settled far into the countryside and Ed parks in a clearing and we get out starting our walk hand in hand. "Nic, I'm so glad you found me, I feel like you're everything I've been missing and I know my mum and dad already love you. Mum tells me every time I mention you 'Eddie if you ever get the chance, that girl is amazing' and I've known it all along the circumstances just were never in our favor but now its the right time and I don't plan on wasting it." I blush looking at my feet but then I look into his eyes that are starting so deeply into my heart and smile "I'm not either Eddie, I'm going to work at this with you. We both come with our own hardships to overcome but I'm going to try so hard because you're worth it, this feeling I get inside when you look at me is worth it, and if its me, and the kids, that you want then you deserve everything you want in life Eddie. You're an amazing man, you work so hard in life and help so many people and I think you deserve the world so I'll work every day for the rest of my life to make sure you get it." He pulled me into him and kissed me passionately taking my breath away, I brought my hands to his hair and melted into him smiling as our lips moved together. Ed pulled back resting his forehead against mine and smiled "What did I do to deserve you as mine Nic?" I smiled, "You're amazing, the real question is what did I do?"
