undertale- the beginning

part 5

(Sans is seven still, almost eight.)
Sans POV.
The next day was tiring as I tried to figure out why only I remembered gaster. There was also another big problem. Since gaster was erased from existence and I didn't have a job so there was no money and I wondered how I was going to pay for food and electricity. I picked papyrus up from nursery. I hadn't seen sapphire since the accident so I asked people about the humans that fell and how many had been killed. No one knew who killed the humans but said that all the souls are in Asgore's castle. I teleported into the throne room and came face to face with the king of monsters himself. "How did you get in here." He asked in a soft and low voice. "Do you have a green human soul?" I asked confidently. I wanted to leave as soon as possible so I decided to just get straight to the point. He looked at me thoughtfully for a moment before before waving his hand in a gesture to follow him and walking out of the room. We arrived in the room with the barrier, I had only every seen it once before and that was just after my mum died. "This is the barrier." His voice echoed through the small room. "And these..." He pointed at 3 glass containers that contained different coloured souls. "...Are the souls." I studied them, there was yellow, (bravery) purple (perseverance) and green. (kindness) I looked at the green soul and felt tears form in my eyes. Sapphire was dead because I couldn't protect her. I looked up to asgore and summoned my weapons. Everything became darker as I engaged the king of monsters in a battle. What I was doing was reckless but I didn't care, at that moment all I felt was rage as I let my bones fire. Asgore blocked then with his trident but didn't fight back. I summoned 4 gaster blasters and fired. They shot straight at there target who crumpled to his knees with the power of the blast. "How are you able to have such strength at such a young age?" I calmed down and dropped my hands to my side. Killing asgore was not going to bring back sapphire and would only cause panic across the underground. I didn't answer his question instead I walked over and offered one of my hands down to him to pull him up. He simply chuckled and stood up by himself. "I doubt you would be able to lift me, I'm quite heavy." I laughed at his statement and apologised quietly. "That's fine young man, I can see you must be in a lot of pain. Did you know one of those humans?" I nodded and began to cry again, remembering how I killed the others. "Where are your parents?" Asgore asked with concern. "There dead" I said coldly and emotionlessly. He put a hand on my shoulder and led me out to the judgement hall. "If you like you can be the judge. One been looking for one for a while and you're incredibly strong. It is a dangerous job so I would pay you 500 g a week." My jaw dropped. 500 g a WEEK, that was a lot of money and I do need a job to be able to look after papyrus. I shook Asgore's hand. "Well asgore, you've got yourself a new judge."

The next week was slow and I was bored a lot since I had nothing to so besides look after paps. I turned the TV of and waked outside, it was really beautiful out today and there was lots of people about. Papyrus's nursery was in wasteful and he needed to be picked up soon so I began to walk over there. When I got there paps was playing with a girl with red hair and blue scales. She had an eye patch on and a blue spear in her hands. When papyrus saw me he jumped up and ran over to me with his new friend who looked about 3 years older than papyrus. "SANS LOOK THIS IS MY NEW FRIEND UNDYNE. SHE'S REALLY COOL." "that's great paps." "CAN SHE COME OVER OUR HOUSE TODAY?" He was jumping excitedly and I found or impossible to say no. "Sure paps." He hugged me and we began to walk home. Undyne and papyrus began to have a snow fight as soon as we entered Snowdon. "Oh come on that's snow way to treat a new friend. " SANS SHUT UP." I sat down and watched them till I fell asleep.

When I woke up Papyrus and undyne were in the distance playing with someone new. I couldn't see them that well from where I was so I walked over and my heart stopped. It was a human and papyrus and undyne were attacking it. There soul was a light blue. (Patience) I teleported in front of papyrus and undyne and checked the humans states
Health: 35/40.
L.V 10
Is confused and wants more power.
"So you've killed some people then." I said. The human glared back. "They attacked me so I killed them, it's there own fault for getting in my way." I glared at her with hatred. I had to protect papyrus so this human was going to die today. I summoned bones but the human dodged easily. "Is that all you got!" She began to lunge at me and I teleported. I grabbed her soul using blue magic and smashed her against the floor and bones. Blood coated the white snow and she was kneeling on the floor. "Well it was nice to meet you." I said as I summoned a blaster right in front of her face and fired until she was dead.

Papyrus ran up to me with stars in his eyes. "THAT WAS SO COOL BROTHER. I DIDN'T KNOW YOU COULD DO THAT!! CAN YOU TEACH ME?" "Maybe when your a bit older paps." Undyne tapped me and I turned to look at her. "That was so fricken cool, your so powerful I recon you could even beat asgore." I laughed at this statement. "I already have." Undyne looked lost for words. "No way, you beat ASGORE!! That's amazing. When I'm older in gonna challenge asgore and beat him as well." "well I'm sure you will but I'm very tired so let's go home now." Undyne said goodbye and ran of back home while me and papyrus went home and had dinner.

~time skip~

I sat in the dark basement of our house looking at a picture of me, papyrus and gaster. I've made up my mind, I'm going to try and bring gaster back no matter what. He's my father and I have to try. *pop* I teleported into alphys's lab and picked up some metal and devices that I'll need to build the machine using my telekinesis. Once I was back I began to design the machine till 1 o clock and then I went to bed, feeling like the dead. (Sorry that was a horrifying pun. Forgive me.)

"SANS!! WAKE UP IT'S MY BIRTHDAY. WAKE UP, WAKE UP!!!" "alright, alright I'm up. So you wanna go open your gifts now. After all there's no time like the present." "SANS OMG STOP." I laughed and he dragged me downstairs. I handed him a box that was wrapped neatly in blue wrapping paper and watched him as he tore open the box. Inside was a brown teddy bear with black eyes. Papyrus hugged it excitedly. "Heh bro looks like you can bearly contain your excitement." "SANS STOP RUINING THIS FOR ME." "What's the matter, can't you bear my golden jokes." I laughed loudly as papyrus stomped his foot on the ground. "I'm just kidding bro. Stop stomping your foot your gonna create an avalanche and get us Snowed-in." Papyrus groaned and walked out the house. "I'M GOING TO UNDYNE'S HOUSE, I'LL BE BACK LATER." And then he shut the door behind him.

I fell asleep on the sofa and began to have a nightmare. I 'woke up' in a black eternity of nothingness. There was static everywhere and a melted figure in front of me. "Gaster, please I want to help you." I was completely helpless here as my arms and legs were tied down by the black substance. "YoU CaNtt hHELp me ThiS IS YouR fAULt." "I'm sorry. Ok. I'll bring you back but it'll take time." Gaster came closer to me and began to squeeze me tightly. My bones began to creak under the pressure. "Gah gaster s-stop. it h-h-hurts." I gritted my teeth and tried not to scream. The pressure continued to increase until I heared a crack and I screamed. My magic came bursting out of my eye and gaster retreated cautiously. "SoMEthiNGs cOMing." I panted and ignored him. "DoNt foRgET." I lifted my head and I was back in my bed sweating heavily. I looked down and found that one of my bones was cracked, I grimiest while I was looking at it and covered out up with a bandage. Apparently I could still get hurt even when I was asleep which is very concerning.

~ time skip ~
(Sans is now 9 and papyrus is 4)

I waited in the judgement hall for the human to come. I've been watching everything they've been doing and so far they haven't harmed anyone. They were warring a pink tutu and ballet shoes. When they arrived they had a smile on there face even though they knew what I was about to do. "Human, you have traveled the underground and now you will be judged. You will be judged for your L.V, L.V is an an acronym. It means Level of Violence. EXP is also an acronym, it means execution points. But you never gained any EXP and therefore your love never increased. So I will let you see asgore but if you continue asgore will take your soul." She looked at me for a moment and then smiled wider. "I know, monsters have been trapped here because of humans and I want to set them free." Then she walked past me into the kings throne room. I sighed, this human reminded me of sapphire and it was a shame that they were going to die, I can't imagine how asgore can live with himself for killing innocent humans especially since they're kids.
