It was six in the morning and I woke up with a crashing sound from the first floor. Naruto lived alone in a two-story house, how lonely might he've been?

I decided to investigate the noise, so I gently left my bed and headed downstairs. As I reached the kitchen, the source of the disaster, I found Naruto. He was laying on the floor with a broken egg on his hair and an empty carton of milk, spilled on the floor.

"Naruto, what happened? Are you okay?" I asked, as I still had my morning voice. He looked up at me and flushed mildly.

"I wanted to make you breakfast..." He admitted, smiling awkwardly. He than scratched his head and realized it was all slimy with yolk.

I looked at him helplessly and giggled a bit, he looked so funny in that situation. I walked closer and held my hand out to him, he softened his look and reached out. But it was his dirty hand, so as soon as we touched, I had dropped him quickly, I didn't feel like having to take a bath.

"Ouch! Yumiko, why did you do that?!" He protested, quite offended of my action. I just looked back blankly at him.

"I'm not holding that hand, kay?" I answered and he nodded quietly, bringing me his other hand. I happily helped him up. "If you wanted breakfast, should have asked me to cook it."

The blonde boy looked back at me very disappointed and shy, it was something out of character for him to do.

"Y'know, I wanted to surprise you... Like a 'welcome' gift." His voice smiled when his face didn't.

I looked at him and smiled brightly, he was such a pleasant person to be around, I doubted he was ever lonely. How could people even ignore him? His adorable way of being, doing things, and I've met him yesterday!

"Naruto, you're so sweet, you didn't have to, really." A pink tint rose on his cheeks as I patted his back. "But for now, I think you should take a shower." We both laughed and he vanished upstairs.

It was already 8 in the morning when we finally had breakfast together. We ate a spicy okonomiyaki I had cooked while he was in the shower, and talked about us to eachother.

He told me about the few friends he had, Team 7 and mainly about his 2 and a half years of training. He must be a very dedicated ninja. And after all I heard from him, I was enchanted with his stubbornness and strength. Even everything he went through, he would still own the most ecstatic smile I had ever seen.

It made me so happy I decided to tell him a ton about me too. Who I really was, what happened to my clan, and what I did as a hobbie before the massacre. We compared our likes and dislikes and found out we had a lot in common, but also numerous differences.

"You mean you like reading?" He said distractedly as he dug his fork into a piece of yellow okonomiyaki. I looked up at him from my plate and widened my eyes.

"Yeah, you mean you don't?" I said simply, surprised he didn't enjoy such a relaxing activity as that. He nodded positively as he brought the fork to his mouth. "I guess I'll have to convert you then..."

I let out a quiet giggle as he didn't notice it. Living with this one was going to be such a different experience for me.
