I had just realized something about Yumiko... She was the only survivor of her clan's massacre, but she wasn't a an actual kunoichi. At least, I had never seen her train before or even grab a kunai. Curiosity was filling me up and I decided to ask Yumiko herself than overflow with questions.

"Y-Yumi-chan?" I asked her, she was cooking me okonomiyaki since she missed me so much from the mission. And that made me think even more, Yumiko was more of a housewife than a ninja. She cooked and cleaned very well, and when she left the house, it was to buy groceries. But she was from such a proud clan, they must've been such strong ninja that people even wanted them killed!

She turned her head at me, sprinkling katsuobushi on the on the japanese dish. Her eyes told me to continue.

"Yes, Naruto-kun?" Yumiko simply said. She reached for a small white bowl of aonori, sprinkling it along with the katsuobushi. The seaweed was just so green, that was going to taste delicious... But whey did she put more effort into her food that into her village?

"Are you a really a kunoichi? I have never seen you fight." Her light brown eyes widened, and she freezed. I couldn't notice a movement at all, she was solid on her place. Even the greenest of the aonori she handled got pressed together in between her fingers.

She also didn't answer my question, she didn't speak at all. All she did was stutter quietly, trying her best to answer me.

"I-I... I... I-" Her soft voice struggled to speak, Yumiko looked embarrassed. l instantly felt bad for having asked that question. It made her feel so bad, my heart ached a little.

"No, I'm sorry. Don't worry... I'll go get the salt in case you need it-" I said, standing up from the couch I was slouched over. I straightened my clothes and went towards the kitchen cabinet when she interrupted me.

"I'll tell you..." Her voice was now serious, sending a mild shiver down my spine. She faced down, as if she was going to tell me the best story I heard in years... I was afraid of that Yumiko... If that even was her. She motioned at the kitchen table, asking me to sit on the chair, and I followed her orders unhesitatingly.

Her pale hands were then seen bringing a ceramic plate with hot steamy okonomiyaki in front of me. She placed the food gently on the table, and it smelled so good that my stomach started to rumble.

"The Nakanishi clan was founded in Takigakure countless years ago by Akihiro Nakanishi." Her face was now parallel to mine, as she sat across from me. I looked her in the eyes and she smiled, making me feel like Yumiko was back to her normal self. "You can eat, it's a quite long story..."

So my eyes shifted from hers to the food, and I grabbed the hashi on my right and separated them, willing to dive them into the omelette.

"Akihiro Nakanishi is the only ancestor of mine, that my mother has told me about. When I was very small, I used to have these gory nightmares, and my mother would tell me these stories to calm down. She portrayed Akihiro and the others as heroes, and I really wanted to be portrayed like one too."
