"And cameras rolling in 3...2...1 " someone shouted.

The camera zoomed in on Kyle.

"Good evening everyone!" He exclaimed.

"Today is the drawing and I hope you are all as excited as I am to find out the participants of this competition for Princess Adaline's hand. Speaking of this lovely young lady, let's welcome Princess Adaline to the podium," Kyle said enthusiastically.

I walked to the podium.

"Good evening and Thank you Kyle for the introduction," I stated. "As everyone knows I will be randomly drawing the participants in a matter of seconds."

"Indeed! And the age, name and photograph of the suitor will be televised as soon as all the names are released," Kyle added.

I pulled the first name from the first bowl.

"Garett Walker," I read out loud.

I managed to smile in between names.

I read out loud the next names and they all started to knit into a long sentence.

"Adrian Davis," I paused. "Aiden Collins, Isaac Roberts, Liam Gray."

I finished drawing three envelopes from each bowl.

"Thank you everyone. I hope to see each contestant very soon here in the palace. And goodnight to everyone," I said.

And with that the cameras were turned off.

Mom and Dad decided we would have dinner together to celebrate.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"When will the guys arrive?" Noah asked.
"Tomorrow afternoon," Dad replied.
"Are you looking forward to it?" I asked Noah.
I raised a brow.
"Yes," Noah smiled. "It's lonely to be the only guy here."
"Oh please. You have friends here," I said. "In fact you even have a girlfriend."
Mom smiled at our playful banter.
"She's not my girlfriend yet," Noah pointed out.
"Right. She's your best friend," I poked fun.
"Okay enough of me," Noah said. "Have you looked at any of the guys?"
"No I haven't seen any pictures," I replied.
"You haven't seen any of them?" Mom asked.
I shook my head.
We were brought chocolate covered strawberries. Yum!
I started eating my strawberries. The chocolate was milk chocolate. The strawberries were sweet.
"This is perfect!" I said with a sigh.
Dad chuckled.
"You have chocolate on your nose," Dad smiled. "This reminds me of when you were a little girl."
I smiled.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

A knock came at the door.

I opened it to my mom.

She stood in the hallway with a box in her arms.

She sat on my bed.

"Let's look at the applications together," she said.

I nodded.

She picked up the first envelope.

"Garrett Walker," she read out loud.

Mom opened the envelope and took out the form an a picture.

Garrett was gorgeous.

"He's stunning," mom said.

"Yes," I smiled.

Garrett had green eyes and he looked very warm.

"His hobbies consist of: painting, sculpting, reading, and traveling," I read out loud.

Mom raised her eyebrows in interest.

We read about the other suitors.

"Are you ready for tomorrow?" She asked.

My eyes widened.

I shook my head no.

"Let me tell you a secret," she started.
