"Emma, your mother is here." Lilith says knocking on Krista's and Emma's door. Emma gives Krista an odd look.
"Why is she here?" she asks curiously. Krista shrugs and hugs her tightly.
"I'm sure that it's nothing major." She says encouragingly. Emma smiles at her before leaving the room.
"Emma, nice of you to join us. Classes are going well after that first fiasco?" Leonidas asks when she enters the office. She pauses when she sees Kat.
"Oh, um yeah. Everything's great." she says watching her mother carefully.
"What fiasco?" Kat asks. Emma frowns looking her mother dead in the eyes.
"Nothing mom. It was nothing except a harmless prank that got me sent here. That's it. I wasn't even really a part of it." She says standing to leave.
"Sit down Emma. This is more than about what happened earlier today." Leonidas says. "Your mother has something that she would like to tell you that may have an impact on your future here at Draemorth." Kat looks at her in disbelief and rolls her eyes.
"I'm so glad that you're not completely my child." she mumbles. Emma looks at her numb with shock.
"What the fuck?" Leonidas asks for Emma. "You're just now saying something? And you said it in such a horrible a way."
"Well, I mean, better that she knows now than later." Kat says defensively.
"And what about Sapphire?" Emma bursts out speaking of her sister who is still at an expensive boarding school abroad.
"We adopted her shortly before you . . ." Kathrine says haughtily. Emma looks at her hands and tries to stay strong.
"Does she know?" she asks her.
"Of course she does. She's known for years. She's stronger than you. She's always been stronger than you." Kat sneers. Emma stands and leaves the office not even bothering to find out who her mother and Sapphire's mother is. Could they be sisters or are they different?
"Hey, what'd they say? You're upset. What happened?" Krista says pulling her into her arms seeing Emma's tears threatening to flood over.
"Nothing. I'm fine. Just allergies to dust or something." Emma says burying her face into her chest.
"That's bullshit Emma. Just tell me what happened. There's no reason to be scared. I'll stay by your side no matter what. I promise." Krista says calmly petting her hair. Emma takes a shaky breath and begins to relay the happenings in Headmaster Leonidas's office. She feels Krista tense up in anger and rage. "How dare she? I cannot believe that she just did that to you." She says holding Emma as tightly as she possibly can.
"Just leave it please?" She softly pleas. Krista shakes her head.
"Of course not. I will make them rue the day that they did this to you." She says with a cold darkness that sends chills up Emma's spine.
"Darling, please." Emma whimpers.
"Fine. You will never have to know how or what way I deal with them." Krista says kissing her forehead.
"Emma, there is a woman here to see you and you alone." Lilith says standing in the doorway. Emma looks at Krista. "Hurry now." she says. Emma hurries to see the mystery woman. She freezes when she notices the woman looks like an older version of her.
"My darling moon child." the woman whispers.
