"Thank you guys for watching over her." Krista says when she gets back to her room and sees that Emma is still sleeping but Stormy is gone.
"No problem. Stormy had to take Claire home. She was needing a fresh diaper and it turns out that we forgot them at home." Freya chuckles softly.
"Aw. Okay. Thanks again. Good night." Krista says walking her to the door before locking it and going to put on her pajamas before crawling into bed pulling Emma into her chest sleepily.
"When did you get to bed?" Emma asks sleepily the next morning as she gets dressed in some casual clothes for early morning training.
"It was around 1 I think." Krista says hugging her from behind.
"What's on your mind my love?" Emma says almost as though she could read the tension in her.
"Leonidas says that you need to focus or you could lose your life on the battlefield." She says softly. Emma nods quietly.
"I'll have to work harder and guard myself better." she concludes.
"There's more to it than just working hard and guarding love. If your head isn't in the battle then the work and "guarding" are pointless." Krista says softly.
"Then I will just have to work on getting my head to focus." she says stubbornly. Krista sighs and kisses her cheek before getting ready herself for her own training.
When they get to the training arena, they notice a lot of new faces. "Now then, since our classes are now here, we can begin the explanations." Leonidas says standing on a high platform overlooking all of the students. Emma gives Krista a questioning look. "We have some new students who have joined us from some different regions. Some of you have been excelling in your trainings. Those of you who are better trained will help train the new students. The better trained teachers will be trying to train the ones who are struggling the most. The ones who don't improve will be off the field and helping with the healers." he says. Some of students begin to groan in protest while the ones who know that they aren't doing too well look at the floor ashamed knowing they will likely be assigned to a healer to assist.
"Welp, this should be interesting eh?" someone says nudging Emma. She catches Krista's gaze since she'd already gone to join her group. The girl who had spoken scoffs and walks away as if she is insulted seeing as Emma had unwittingly ignored her. She looks after her feeling bad.
"Maybe they're right. I can't focus. Maybe I should just get assigned to a healer." Emma thinks to herself. "No, you're going to be training with someone of the more experienced fighters." Alen says from behind her. She yelps and jumps turning to face him causing him to laugh.
"Don't fucking do that." She whines annoyingly. He just continues laughing and leads her to the group of students to be trained with advanced trainers. "I'm guessing that I don't have much a choice huh?" She asks Absolum when she sees him. He shakes his head. She sighs and tries to pay attention to the instructions. Everyone freezes when they hear warning sirens going off. "Shit, we're under attack." She says to herself grabbing her sword and getting ready with others in her group. When they reach the battlefield several foes stand before them ready to attack while their leader is hidden amongst their ranks. They rush the students swinging their spears and swords. Krista and Emma look at each other across the field. Krista mouths that she loves her and they start battling their foes. Leonidas swiftly slashes through to their leader and kills him. Emma looks around all of the bodies until she feels arms wrap around her waist. She turns around and sees Krista.
