"Okay, okay," Hayden pulled yet another dress off the rack, "what about this one?" The dress was a dark red, like a wine color, it was a long chiffon dress. There was embroidering just below her bust and all across the top, it was gorgeous, perfect for Hayden. I had already picked out my gown, shoes, and bought some fresh makeup for the night ahead of us. The weeks we had to plan ahead for the Gala were booked with exams and projects so we're doing everything the day of.

"That's perfect, it'll go great with your nude pumps," I pushed her towards a dressing room. She dressed quickly and walked out, the dress flooded around her feet due to her being five foot two, her heels would definitely help her there. "That's the one."

"Do you know what Harry is wearing yet?" We sat across from each other eating pizza, much like how it was before we came here. Her mouth was full so she simply shook her head, "I know what Niall's wearing, really glad I do because now I know we won't look like we came from opposite sides of the color wheel."

"Harry won't tell me, I just hope he won't show up looking like our sofa." We threw our food away and walked back out of the mall and headed home. I can't say I was the least bit nervous, I was, the last time I dressed up this nice I was stood up. Niall won't do that, Niall's not like that.

"Hayden, I'm going to rest up before I need to shower and get ready," I patted the couch before hoisting myself up and walking off to my room.

Needless to say, I couldn't sleep at all, not a wink of sleep. I laid on my bed staring at my ceiling thinking up every scenario, good and bad, that could possibly happen tonight. It's not that I wanted to think about what could happen, it just... happened. In the time that Niall and I have spent together since his birthday, he's made it very clear how he feels about me and continues to show me how he feels and I'll forever be thankful, I haven't shed a tear; only while laughing. I don't ever wake up without a good morning message of some kind. It was like a dream, one where you fear someone or something is going to wake you up and it'll all disappear. Niall was the guy in all the Hallmark movies that the protagonist falls in love with in the last five minutes of the movie, he wasn't just a pretty face, he was smart and spontaneous, he had morals, he has unpopular opinions, he holds truth to what he says. I would love to say that there's good and bad but there hasn't been any bad. There was always that sliver of insecurity, Niall could easily find someone better, some who can gorge on peri peri chicken like he can.

After hours of endless thinking in my bedroom, I heard Hayden get out of the bathroom which indicated that I should probably get in, too. I grabbed my dress from my closet and rested it neatly on my bed and went to the bathroom.

I let the warm water relax my tense muscles which allowed me to let out a relaxed sigh, I never wanted to get out of this shower but I knew if I was here too long, the water would get cold and I'd be grumpy the whole night.

HAYDEN'S POV

After my shower, I slipped into a pair of sweats and waited for Adelaide to finish whatever it was she needed to do, there was no way I was trusting myself to even try doing my makeup for a night like this and Addie always knew what to do.

I turned my head from side to side just to see how my dress glistened at different angles, it was all fun and games until Adelaide walked in, her hair in a simple up-do. Makeup matching her low back bow rose gold sequined dress, that was a real sparkly dress, perfect for her and she picked it out herself!

"Addie, you look incredible," I gawked at her, she smiled and shook her head in response and began to work on my appearance.

"God dammit, Hayden Grey if you don't stop moving I'm shoving this iron up your arse," Adelaide, yet again, yanked my hair back causing me to jump... again. We had about an hour before the boys showed up and in all reality, I was far from ready. Mentally, not physically; physically I looked like a Goddess. I prayed Harry didn't come wearing something totally crazy and if he did, we didn't look like a mess.
