ADELAIDE'S POV

We left the Gala not long after Harry and Hayden, it was nice but we were constantly being interrupted on the dance floor. Whether it was a slow or fast paced song, the two of us were always be pulled in one direction it the other. I couldn't handle not being around him for much longer and from the looks of it, Niall was pleased to be leaving as well. It was dark and cold outside, the smell of rain was rather prominent and I could feel my anxiety building up. I absolutely hated thunderstorms, even as a little girl. I was terrified to be left alone in one, I never really had anyone to comfort me in these conditions. Hayden always tried to be there for me, but most of the time the storms occured, she would be sleeping. Hayden loves thunderstorms, why? I have no idea. I looked to Niall to see his eyes we glued to the road in front of us. As much as I trusted he would never judge me, I didn't want him to see the more embarrassing side of me. Unfortunately, it looked like that was exactly what was going to happen. A sudden boom sounded around us, causing me to jump. I immediately covered my ears and shut my eyes.

"Ads, you okay?" Niall asked, his soothing voice calming me only briefly.

"No, but keep driving." All I wanted was to go home and blast some music in my ears to distract myself. Another clap of thunder shook the sky, followed shortly by a flash of lighting. I squeaked in fear and covered my ears tighter. My breathing picked up and if I didn't go somewhere soon, I would panic. I felt Nialls hand on my knee and I involuntarily tensed at the contact.

"Adelaide, what's wrong?" He tried again. I truly appreciated him trying to figure out what was wrong, but my mind was elsewhere.

"Can you just drive faster?" I all but shouted. He snatched his hand from my leg and placed it back on the steering wheel. The cold spot on my leg, made me feel terrible, but I couldn't get a grasp on anything at the moment. With every clap of thunder, my body tensed. Niall stayed silent the rest of the drive and I really wish I hadn't snapped on him. I saw we were pulling up to the frat house and my brows furrowed in confusion. Before I could even ask what we were doing, Niall answered my thoughts.

"Harry texted me when we were at the Gala, I was going to tell you sooner but I forgot. Him and Hayden went back to your flat. Knowing them, I figured you wouldn't want to be around that. But I'll take you back if its a problem." I turned to face him for the first time since the storm started. He was so good to me, even after I completely bit his head off. Another boom and I jumped.

"This is fine!" I squealed. He pulled into a spot and parked the car. I immediately jumped out if the car and ran to the house, heels and all. Lights and music emitted from the frat, it wasn't surprising, there was a party almost everyday. As I made it inside, the music drowned out the thunder, I felt at ease for a bit, but my anxiety returned when I didn't see Niall. People crowded around me, pushing and stumbling over me.

"Niall?" I shouted over the music. I turned in every direction around me, but I couldn't find my blonde-haired Irish boy anywhere.

"Niall?"

"Addie, over here!" I spun around almost immediately to see the familiar blue eyes and braced smile, I ran to him and allowed him to engulf me in his arms, I never felt something so comforting before, I felt safe. I allowed him to lead me upstairs and to his bedroom, the music turned into an obnoxious beating against the wall when Niall shut the door. I claimed a seat on his bed as I watched him take his jacket off and remove his shoes. He went to sit at his desk before I stopped him.
