Jason wasn't able to sleep that night, he had too many thoughts in his head. His life had changed so much, just two weeks ago he would have woken up in the beautiful country side. However, that all changed quickly and now he was here, in the soul academy.

After he changed his clothes to the white kimono in blue stripes that were given to him, he took a look at his schedule:
Kido Training
World Literature
Martial Arts
Kendo
Lunch
World History
Math.

He died a bit when he saw the last subject. He hated anything to do with numbers.

He began to walk towards his first period, thankfully it was close, so not even Jason could get lost.

As he walked in, he gracefully received a scowl from his teacher,"You're two minutes late boy, what's your excuse?"

"Uh, traffic?" He joked

The teacher just continued her scowl and pointed to where he was to sit. Great, he was already on the bad side of his teacher.

"I can't believe you came late to your first day of class Jason" a familiar voice whispered to him.

He was shocked to see Nozomi in his class, but he wasn't complaining, he could use the friend.

"Hehe, well you see my alarm clock decided not to come for work."

"Sure, whatever you say, anyways shush, the lesson is about to start." She then turned to face the teacher. She seemed pretty interested in this subject.

The class overall was boring, the instructor just rambled on about the origins of Kido and there use. Jason wasn't interested in this, he wanted to do something more exciting.

Of course Jason got his wish to do something more exciting. He was now in his martial arts class when he saw who was with him. It was the boy named Stephen. Their faces met, each signaling that they were going to beat the other up whenever they had the chance.

Thankfully, the teacher decided that for the first day, everyone was to chose a partner and have a quick sparring match.

"Hope you're ready to get your ass whooped!" Stephen grinned madly.

"The only person getting their ass whooped today is you!" Jason countered.

The bell rung and the two quickly lunged at each other. They both threw punches at each other nonstop, Jason went for his gut but Stephen quickly grabbed his fist and then threw his own punch at Jason. His nose now began to bleed, but he didn't care, he was having fun!

Jason kicked Stephen with his right leg only to be blocked by the other teen's left arm. The blonde couldn't believe how much of tank he was! Of course that didn't stop him. Jason front flipped behind Stephen and quickly kicked him off of his feet.

The two boys were now panting, they were evenly matched. Their fight had already taken up more than half an hour. Everyone else had finished their own fight but them.

"Let's finish this!" Jason smirked

"Fine by me!" Stephen replied.

They ran towards each other, Jason raising his right fist while Stephen his left. Their two punches met the others face, both not letting go. They stood in that position until they both collapsed at the same time.

"You know, Jason, you can be so reckless, plus why the hell did you choose to fight him!" Nozomi scolded him.

"Well, I had to settle the score between us you know."

"Don't give me that machismo bull crap." She then put an ice bag on his forehead.

He screamed in agony, "It burns!"

In a cold voice, "Stop being a cry baby, you deserve this as punishment."

A silence soon followed the two, they were both in Jason's confined dorm. The sun soon began to descend downwards.

"Well, I should get going, I need to go see my brother real quick."

"Why didn't the ghost come over anyways?" Jason asked.

"He said something about you being a dumb ass for getting in a fight and that he had no time for such insolence."

Grinning the blonde responded, "Yea, sounds like him."

The two got up, Nozomi knew she had to go but she just wanted to stay a bit longer in his room. Even though she didn't quite show it, she enjoyed spending time with Jason after all this time again.

In a soft voice ,"Well, goodbye then Jason."

"See... See ya."

Then the unthinkable happened, Nozomi tripped on her own feet which made her push Jason onto his bed. She was now on top of him; her face glowing a bright red.

She stared into his lightning blue eyes that were full of energy and determination. Yet, they also had a calm demeanor.

Meanwhile, Jason was looking into her gorgeous amber eyes, they showed some sort of pain, the same pain he felt deep inside. As is if she had just lost someone.

A minute passed and the two said nothing, Nozomi tried to get up but she couldn't, as if gravity had grown stronger and was forcing her down. She finally managed to find the strength and quickly got up.

She muttered, "I-I'm sorry,"

She then ran out of his room, embarrassed at what had just happened.

Meanwhile Jason stared blankly into space in his bed. He couldn't describe how he currently felt, there were just no words in his mind. The emerald haired girl had left him speechless.
