Chapter Nineteen: The Attack Part Three

"You brat! How dare you resist me eating you!" The adjucha snarled towards Nozomi, who was now smiling after landing a hit.

"Sorry to resist, I just don't plan on being eaten today." She replied as blood began to drip from her abdomen.

The fight between the two had only been going on for about ten minutes, but it was clear that she was going to lose. Her legs were trembling on the stone road in which they were on, she held her katana tighter, as she was about to embrace another attack from the adjucha. However it was only staring off in the distance.

Finally, it spoke, "Well it seems our leader has left, guess we should follow. Such a pity though, I really wanted to eat you." A scowl grew on his face, "Of course, that doesn't mean I won't kill you for what you've done to me!"

A powerful spiritual pressure began to release from the hollow, making the air heavier to breathe, a glowing red orb appeared in front of the creature's face.

"Get ready you bitch!" He then spoke the command, "Cero!"

A ginormous blast was released, the floor beneath it shook as it raced towards the girl... who was smiling.

Perfect she thought as she raised her sword,

"Rain without end, Arazome Shigure!"

Her zanpakutō quickly changed form as it absorbed the entire blast into it, leaving a stunned hollow. Now in front of its eye's was a black broadsword with a silver lining up the middle and sides, inside was a red energy that was the absorbed cero. The sword in general looked like a black cross.

"How the hell you did that!" It quickly changed topic, "Who cares, you can't absorb anymore, that thing is full!"

Another orb formed in front of it and released again towards her.

"You fool!" She screamed as her green spiritual energy released from her body and into the surroundings.

As she quickly raised her sword above her head she incanted, "Rain down, Arazome Shigure!" She swung down her zanpakutō releasing a blast in the color of red and green which doubled the size of the enemy's.

The two blast now hit each other with full force, disintegrating the floor beneath it. At first they seemed evenly matched but Nozomi's blast quickly began to take charge, outshining the cero and obliterating the hollow behind it.

Her sword reverted to its normal katana shape as she fell onto her knee's. She was sweating all over her body as it ached in pain.

"Lieutenant, did you do that!?" A voice behind her asked in excitement.

Turning around she saw three soul reapers who's jaws were dropped in awe.

"Did you guy's see that?" She demurely asked.

One shinigami said, "Did we see that?"

The other one continued, "We felt that!"

Finally the last one said in a chanting voice, "Nozomi! Nozomi! Nozomi!"

All three began to chant her name, making her blush a little.

"Nozomi! She's the best! She's the greatest!" The trio continued as they lifted her and began to fist bump into the air.

"Thanks guys but umm." The three stopped in confusion. " We still have hollows in the area, we should really get back to work."

They dropped her, making her bottom ache in extreme pain, now in military position the three said in unison, "Yes, Ma'am!"

Then all at once, they took out their swords into the air as they ran into battle chanting her name.

Did that seriously just happen? she thought as she tried to stand up, her body however said other wise.
