A cold breeze swept up dead leaves from the ground as it flew by Nozomi. She came to pay her respects at her brother's burial site. It was on top of a small mound. It wasn't that decorative, but that's because Nozomi knew he wouldn't want it that way.

"It's been two weeks since the war, brother. Soul Society was severely injured. Many died, even some Captain's. But those who survived are doing their best to rebuild her as fast as possible. There isn't time to mourn, after all, we're Shinigami, right? We're expected to die, but..." her voice cracked as her eyes watered, "but we still miss you... I miss you!"

She stayed their for another hour before returning to her barracks. It was empty. Everyone was out repairing or helping the injured. She walked into the main office and saw Jason, buried under a pile of papers.

"Nozomi, you're back so soon?" he asked.

"Yeah, I need to do my part to help too."

"You can start with these papers," he whined.

She smiled, even with all their loss, Jason still made her smile. It made her feel a bit guilty but she couldn't help it.

"Why're you trying to hide your smile?"

"Huh?"

"It looks like you're forcing that smile down."

"Oh... I don't know, it feels wrong to at a time like this."

"Stop saying that. Yes, we had many die, but we have to keep pushing forward in their memory. I'm sure he would agree," he slowly stood up and walked to her, "don't ever feel guilty for smiling, alright?"

"R-right..."

"Good. Can you send these papers to Botsu, please. He should be at Squad Four helping Stephen recover."

"Yeah," She walked back to the door, before leaving, she said to her Captain, "Jason, thank you."
